  • Red berries and a bit of tobacco on the nose, which carries nicely over to the palate along with forrest floor, some dryness and an acidic kick in the end. Pure Garnacha from a single vineyard.

  • Expectations for this exceeded result. We used our Coravin and this cork burst out of the bottle, causing a bit of a mess. I was tasting blind and didn't pick up a lot of anything, but I did pick up a 'weird citrus note on the back'. Felt pretty proud of that when I read up on the varietal and region that 'grilled grapefruit' is not uncommon. Other than that, though, this bottle didn't deliver a lot and I suspect it had not been treated right before we bought it a couple years ago. If this bottle is any indication, drink it up now!

  • 100% Garnacha from 2.9-hectare plot planted 40 years ago. This fermented in a combination of stainless steel and concrete with indigenous yeasts and matured in a 4,000-liter oak foudre and nine used 500-liter oak barrels for nine months. Transparent ruby. Aromas of red cherry, strawberry, spices. Taste of red cherry, dry, fresh, very fine tannins. Well made. Good QPR.

  • wow, how this bottle improved in 4 months, its worlds apart. While initially regretful I bought into this, I did repurchase after this tasting. All that excess fruit has now integrated and is now very balanced, showing just enough dark fruit. Although 24 hours later it did not open any more in the glass, I now have hopes it may be an overall better bottle by next year.

  • While the taste profile did improve from the prior year, predominately sour cherry but as a whole its just to much fruit for me. Slightly improved the next day. The sweet spot should be 2023 if its going to go anywhere, will try again then.

  • Nice label. Finished fourth bottle since last October and each has shown noticeable improvement. 91+

  • Tasty slightly meaty garnacha. Not a straightforward fruity wine, there's some body to it, and some grape perfume, subtle oak, and tingly acidity well integrated. Tannins and fruit come together in a pleasant tang towards the end of the taste. I had the 2016 previously and was also good, so decent consistency. Good QPR.

  • Light in color, enjoyed from Burgundy stems. Blueberry and cherry yogurt, bramble, gravel. Round mouthfeel with low tannin and medium acid. Oddly reminds me of some de-classed Bordeaux that we've had in the past, in a good way. Drink now. Very good to excellent 90.

  • A very nice and graceful wine. Sour cherries on a foundation of intense minerality, with hints of mint, anise, strawberry, citrus, and, briefly, roasted nuts. Pleasant aftertaste, good acidity. This wine is all about freshness and liveliness, and it's unlikely to benefit from age. Should remain lovely for another 4 years or so, possibly a very little longer. [I tasted this wine over three nights, the bottle simply stoppered and kept cool. To my surprise, the third night it was ever so slightly better than on the first two--the wine had put on just a little more body, without any loss of grace, a black pepper note that I hadn't noticed before emerged, and the aftertaste was just a little fuller and longer. Based on this I've raised the score from the original 93 points, and have also extended the drinking window. I think now that the wine would benefit from a year in the cellar--but the difference is very small, so you shouldn't hesitate to drink now if you feel like it!]

  • Was not a fan. 60 min decant, rough. Waited 2 hrs, then day later. No change. 1 bottle left. I'll try in another year or two.
