Dark cherry and brick color. Acidic and tight finish on taste. Decanted for an hour and then drank over the next 2 hours. Opened up beautifully. Plum and mineral on nose. Cooked stawberry and plum palate. Long lingering finsh. Wonderful now, but still a bit wound up...this has the potential to go another 5+ years for sure.

This is a real winner. Clear cherry color with an orange rim, medium body in the glass. The nose is huge, with elements of strawberry and cloves as well as a strong cedar overlay. It is big and bold, as one would expect, but perfectly smooth, well integrated and finely structured with moderate tannin and a long finish. There's no reason not to drink this now except, of course, that it's probably going to get better!

Starting to become quite drinkable now even with high acids and slight tannins. Nose is lovely with generous plum and raspberry, modified by cask aging. Alcohol is noticeable. A wine that should continue to develop for another 5 years if the fruit holds.
(4/29/2021) Terrific Brunello, as are all the others I have tasted from the 2015 vintage. Expansive nose of raspberry preserves. Full but not overwhelming flavors with plenty of tannic "push" in the finish. Of the more modern style. Like its 2015 brethren, needs at least another 5 years in the bottle to show its potential.

At the open: Smells of layered red jam, some sweetness, blackberries, and wet dirt. Tastes of mouth coating dark red fruit, a brooding sense, notable tannins, & sweetness.
After 45 minutes: Smells of red fruit and gravel, "angry cherries", and rotting leaves Tastes of brooding, rapidly evolving dark red fruit.
Medium-full bodied.

Hits all the right marks. Good to drink now but will continue to mature.

As previous review noted, much better 30-60 minutes after opening. Also as noted previously JS '96 points' is just crazy talk.
