Drank this over a 3 day period. Day 1: Wine has an aroma of earth and dark fruit, along w/dark chocolate. Earth not good, poopy as Gary V. is so fond of saying. Wine is full bodied, and tastes good, chewy chocolate and some cedar. This is one of the better bottles from this case purchased 2 years ago. Day 2: This wine is deflating, going south quickly. Had a glass, would call it 83 +. Day 3: Dumped, wasn't in the mood for a tired, poopy experience. Have a couple left, will try and consume w/somebody willing to be a guinea pig....

Popped and poured 12/18, nose of Chilean funk, earth, barnyard. Medium bodied w/chocolate and assorted dark fruits. Day 2 has opened more, fuller body and dark chocolate notes stand out.

This is the best bottle of the case I purchased last year, so far. I think this is bottle 5 or 6, anyway nose of cherry and other dark berry fruits, raspberry and a dash of chocolate. Full bodied with a very nice mouth feel and lengthy finish. This is one tasty $10 cab, by far the best bottle of the lot, to date. Here's hoping the others are hitting their stride. The back label states the wine will improve for up to 10 years in the bottle, very unusual for a $10 bottle. Casa Lapostolle worth checking out.

Typical Chilean funk on the nose. Earth, unappealing barnyard smell that so many Chilean cabs seem to have. Not over powering, but there... Once past the aroma...the wine at this point in it;s life is decent. Smooth, soft tannins, very melot-like. If tasted blind, would probably think this is a merlot or cab-merlot blemd. A good $8-10 dollar wine, holding up well after 8 years. May add to this, on day two.

No signs of aging yet in the color as it was nice and ruby red in the glass. Medium to full bodied with really nice red fruit notes mixed with a little oak on the nose. Very little oak on the palate though with a nice smooth finish.
