  • Drank at Copake over the past few nites. Dark ruby core, no signs of bricking. Generous nose of red cherrries. Notes of red cherries and raspberries. Crisp acidity and lovely freshness to go with the vibrant red fruit. Softish tannins, good complexity and lovely length. Very enjoyable.

  • Splash decant. Very deep ruby magenta color. Raspberry, blueberry, orange pound cake, baker’s cocoa, and licorice. Dry, silky palate, with silty, lingering acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish.

This really opened up over an hour of drinking. Quite heavy nose and palate for Burgundy (in a good way). First wine of the night at my birthday dinner near Lille at Restaurant L’Arbre - Gruson.
