Alluring showing cherry and plum in a medium bodied frame. Medium to high acidity. A wine to pair with food. Balanced to the tee and average lenght. NI:3, FI:21, FC:7, B:5, L:3

One of several wines consumed as part of WSG’s science of wine tasting class. Opened and poured 90 min before tasting and retested repeatedly throughout the night. Delightful for a young priorat. Stewed berries, garrigue, blood orange. Really interesting to taste with ginger, seaweed, cinnamon but the most impressive of all was the impact of orange zest—it really demonstrated the concept of 1+1=3. I will have to pair some Garnacha with Duck a la Orange or similar!!
On the lighter side for Priorat—bright raspberry flavors, good acidity, lots of minerality. Maybe not quite the complexity in one of the Black Slate bottlings (which I really like), but still enjoyable.

Medium (+) vibrant ruby. Savory nose, earth, leather and toasted wood. Dry, medium acidity, medium tannin, high alcohol @15% abv, no alcohol heat), medium (+) body. Blackberry, blueberry jam, earth and leather. Fruit-driven, crunchy with clean mouth feel. Structured and fresh finish with balance between fruit, acidity, and tannin. Easy-going entry level Priorat, cellar protector.

Continued to improve after opening w/noticeable mineral notes. Enjoyable wine.

Dark berries. Some oak. Abricot late in the taste. Open it some time prior to drinking to reduce excessive amount of acid

Smell the carignan. Lively, easily drinkable. Tasty, fresh, juicey, with big fruit.

A bit roasty on the nose. Full on the grenache but the carignan lifts it up. So its big, with lots of fruit, but also has a powerful drive.

Entry level from Priorat, but plenty of fruit, with that minerality from the licorella ever present. 15% alcohol was very noticable.
