Tasted past peak and a little disjointed but still tasty with long citrus driven finish. Definite orange and orange peel peaking through the cherry on the palate. Citric acid dominates. Some bricking around the exterior of the rim.

Last of 6 bottles. Sad to see this bottling go. Beautiful red cherry notes, some cinnamon and dry leaves on nose. Still has nice acidity and sour cherry palate. Needed about 20 mins to blow off though.

Lovely at this point in time. Had with pancetta & mushroom risotto and it was a lovely match. The wine is nicely integrated now, with even mouthfeel. Lovely forest floor leaves in the bing cherry mix now.

Minimal rim variation. Sonoma Coast style nose, with loads of red fruit and cherry cola, but with some dried/candied cherry notes. Impressive freshness, acidity and tannic grip. Excellent wine.

very good, but was missing something for me. maybe it is a little past its prime. still had a nice acidity which i like. i got cherry and some cola, but it was not as full as i hoped, but still very enjoyable. probably would have been better with a meal

First night notes. Drank this alongside a bruiser 2000 Raptor Ridge that clocked in at 15.6%, so it's possible that this tasting note might be a little skewed because of that. At any rate, 14.2% a.b.v. Medium brick red (which is to say, definite signs of bricking). Medium fast legs. Lots of cola on the initial nose intermixed with a little licorice and some orange zest in the background. Initial palate has lots of big, ripe fruit; however, there's also a fair amount of acidity that counterbalances the ripeness of the fruit. As it opens up, there's white pepper and licoroce. Noticable oak on the mid-palate that adds some tannic backbone to the mix. Fleshy with plenty of concentration on the finish, but there's good balance as well. This is a big wine, but it's not one-dimensional, there's poise. On the second day there's still lots of life and interest in this wine. Nice balance: lots of power and concentration, but at the same time there's suppleness, it's light on it's feet. A really well-made bottle of wine. Enjoyable.

Third bottle at Christmas and tasting notes are not that good... It is starting to evolve and picked up weight with hour decanting. Tasted about the same Day 2 (sealed, frig). Color still deep red to the rim, no brick hues yet. Great with goose for dinner, cherry notes good complement. Acidity still strong. Nothing unexpected, taste typical of BF cuvee, won't touch next bottle for 1-2 years.

Awesome aged pinot. Had some bricking in the color and a slight haze.Might be at its peak or slightly past? A cherry fruited wine that is rich in texture and completeely integrated. Cola came through as well as some dirty mushrooms. A long smooth finish. Could have drank all night.

this exceptional Pinot was served with beef short ribs and potatoes and added a great touch to the meal. Rich flavors in both the food and wine. A perfect bottle to enjoy with great food and friends.

Ruby color. Complex nose of black and red cherry, spice, earth, some oak. Similar on the palate. Still has a decent tannic backbone. This is drinking really well right now and should continue to please for several years. This was my #2 wine of the night.

Transparent brilliant ruby in color. Cherry, raspberry, spice, and earth on the aromatic nose, with a touch of cola joining in. The palate is fairly full for a pinot with a lot of sweet red fruits and a bit too much oak. There is good acidity but the wine lacks structure and is a bit unbalanced. I find that this wine lacks complexity and has an overwhelming cherry cola element.

Great nose with tons of black cherry and spice scents. Nice balance of acidity and weight without too much oak. Could easily sit for another 5 years and be even better in that time.

Yes...it is a hedonistic ripe jar of juice...so get over it...you should never purchase this wine if you are looking for subtlety and no finish...after all Robert Parker is the owner...great wine and in your face for pepper steak or Copper River salmon with NW blackberry coulis...YUM!

I opened this last night at a wine tasting that was only Oregon wines....it was the wine of the night. With scents of chocolate covered cherry, cloves, and wild earth. The nose was elegant but beautiful. This wine is doing very well now...and still has the stuffing to last for a while. The flavors in the mouth were liniar, simple, yet amazingly powerful for such delecate flavors. Bing cherry, black cherry, and cacao flavors intermingled back and forth along a nicely framed medium finish around 30 seconds.

A perfect pairing for the redux of Thanksgiving. Though my Huskies blew the apple cup, the wine didn't disappoint. Lovely aromatics and a fragrance of raspberry that was very tasty alongside the grilled turkey with the fixin's. Glad to have a bottle left for next years celebration.

Very nice nose of cherry and raspberry and a little oak. Palate and finish are dominated by the acidity of the wine, even after 4 hours of decanting. Maybe it will be better with more age.

I feel like Bill Gates complaining about high coffee prices, but this wine was not quite as gripping as I remembered it from release. Lots of nice cherry and raspberry in the nose, good acidity with a refined texture and appealing hints of oak towards the end. Great complement to Moroccan lamb. But man, a year ago it was a stunner and to me there is a discernable loss of focus here.

Terrific nose of cherry fruit and baking spices. The palate is medium bodied with cherry fruit, spice and hints of earthy / mineral notes. Pure fruit that and well balanced. But very primary and unevolved. Needs time to develop complexity. Plenty of upside here.

Drank this bottle over Turkey Day in Naples Florida with family. The wine had great fruit and was still very primary with notes of cherry and smooth tannins. The wine did not display the complexity or smokiness of the Rochioli we that we also drank.

A raspberry juice bomb that was really delicious with turkey. I had been unimpressed with most Oregon Pinot's, but this wine is worth the dough--I ordered 3 more bottles the next day. Really even viscosity and sumptous fruit--earthy and raspberry flavors that reminded me of the 2003 Lambray's. I would drink these over the next 5-7 years.
