Pale straw with fine bubbles. On the nose white flowers, green apple and fresh linen In the mouth tart green apple, underripe stone fruit and bracing acidity..citrus pith on the long finish. Fun bright, fresh wine. As much acidity that this has would be interesting to see what its like in a couple years..

I snuck this in a five bottle line up that included vintage Charles Gardet, Veuve Clicquot, Saint Chament, and vintage Choully Grand Cru. Many of the attendees choose this as their favorite. So excellent QPR and the perfect wine for a large gathering (even a wedding)

pale white gold in color, ready bubbles, aroma of melon, tastes of fruit, crisp with some dry balance, thin finish. for $15 per bottle the QPR isn't quite there.

The food flexibility with this wine is unbeatable. This time I paired this with Thai. It went with everything from the shrimp Tom Yum, chicken drunken noodles, and the panang curry. At $9 a bottle, the QPR is great.

My exuberant love for this sparkling wine is being written after 2 glasses. It starts out with me living in Utah and having to order a whole case of this wine in order to try it. I have enjoyed the still as a summer porch sipper. So I have had a bottle of this sitting in my fridge waiting for the opportunity to have an excuse to try it when my teenager wanted to eat J. Dawgs polish hot dogs on a Friday night. I thought WTH, let’s see how food friendly this sparkling wine is. This was exceptional with my fully loaded polish dog. I think this could pair well in a potluck, picnic, or any random summer 4th of July event. The QPR on this is great. I won’t say that this is a vintage Cuvee champagne but as a fun wine to enjoy with any weekday meal this cannot be beaten.

The Fifth Annual Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine: Retail $18. 96% Chenin Blanc, 4% Viognier. Quite citrusy in a really pale straw wine with green apple and peach. A lot of fruit going on. The palate? Whoa. Sure, really fruity, and just a hint of sweetness, but this is really balanced and just delicious. 93 Points.
Medium straw color with a gentle mousse. A strong funk in the aroma for the first 10-15 minutes open but that blew off and left behind a simple but pleasing bouquet of melon, citrus, apple, almond, and buttermilk biscuit. Medium body and just enough acidity to keep the sweetness from being prominent. I like it enough to rebuy. 4+11+16+7= 88

On David's downtown Minneapolis North Loop condo roof top for one of the last outdoor events of 2020. Nother fun btl and perfect starter tonight. Not sure my buddies loved it but, I for one, remain impressed for just $14 on sale locally. This was the only lowly QPR amongst several high end btls tonight. It surely set the table for the stellar follow up '02 Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Rare :). Plenty of refreshing flavors for my liking. The btl did empty quickly :).

NOTE; this is a new SPARKLING version. Can't figure out how to better reflect that in CT. This was a pleasant surprise and more fun than any sparklers I've had from the Loire, to date. Especially for the $15 I paid for it. Drinks more like $20+. Super refreshing with unexpected sophistication and depth. A very tasty array of both energized and rich citrus and stone fruit flavors. Yep, going back for more of these, very soon.

Ugh. I love sparkling chenin from the Loire or Limoux, but this is like someone dropped a pat of margarine in the glass. Down the drain.

Ample citrus and melon aroma. Medium bubbles. Creamy on the palate and a medium plus finish. Great QPR and about to become a staple in the cellar.
