I really liked Haags 2017 (93p), 2018 (92p), and 2015 (91p), and hence bought six bottles of 2019.
The Brauneberger Juffer is classified as GG since 2012, steep (up tp 70% slope) slate soils.
Intense-complex Mosel-Riesling with salty minerals, mirabelle, smoked herbs, citrus freshness (7.3 g/l TA vs 2.7 g/l RS), light petrol, and a burnt caramel finish. Generally, the finish felt a bit short on day 1 and better on day 2. Early drinking window, not yet at Parkers 94-96p or Sucklings 95p but could get there in the next one or two decades.

We tasted this over two days, and it was much better on the second. Day one brought lots of youthful, primary fruit. Plenty of pineapple and a little bit of diesel in the background. Day one felt playful and naive. Day two showed more intrigue and balance as well as an added obvious layer of slate. Day two gave me the impression that the wine had figured out who it was, so to speak. I'd wait a while to see this wine at its best.

Hay yellow, relatively rich colour given age; flinty subtle buttery nose; relatively rich body with lots of nice acidity, meaty long aftertaste; a rich young Riesling

NOSE: expressive; peach donut ring candies; powdered sugar and lychee.
BODY: medium-light to medium bodied; pale yellow color.
TASTE: good mix of fruit and mineral; ample smoky mineral on the finish, which is long and of moderate intensity; mostly dry but there is some barely-perceptible r.s.; high acidity, but not screechy. I like it, and it will be fun to revisit in the coming years.

This was incredibly primary. It almost tasted more like must than wine. Plenty of acidity and a full (for Riesling) body, really showing the winemaking involving oak.
I'm not going to be buying any more of these, but I can imagine it'll mature decently well.

Lightness, laser like precession and intensity at the same time. The bouquet comes with passion fruit and lime on top of the obvious wet slate. Some white pepper and herbs complete the flavour profile. It's quite pure and refreshing on the palate, but I would guess its not showing everything tonight. Give this GG a few more years and buy some bottles, probably one of the best deals in fine wine out there right now.

Stunning low cost GG from the Mosel, very fine structured, mineral core, silky on day 3, delicious stone fruit on the nose and palate, on day 1 a little restrained at first, a GG bottle from one of the very best estates from there, you have to make a wake up call by aeration, very mineral driven and zesty, the fine tasty fruit reveals on day 2, better now on day 3, long finish, one for the long haul, *(***), around 92+ potential, great QPR at 24€ retail price.

trinken: 2023-2031
best: 2024-2027?
90-91 Punkte?

Color: Light to medium yellow. Nose: Flint stone, wet stone, pineapple. Mouth: Very pure and elegant. Very mineral. However it doesn't blow me away.
