Pop and pour. Clear, medium gold in color. On the nose, citrus fruit, smoke, and a sharp herbal note. On the palate, lovely, unctuous texture, with a core of tropical fruit and a touch of acidity on the back end.

a very pretty wine; really nice fruit; good balanced acidity; medium+ bodied- def not over oaked in anyway; this is in a great drinking window - def new world Cal chard but in a balanced fuller style I enjoy; great finish.

terrific. pale gold color. pretty nose of white stone fruits, some whiff of pineapple and lemon. body was very medium+ -- full and rich and rounded. no overt oak; really great acidity to complement the richness and opulence of the fruit. in a really great spot to drink today.

this was neck and neck with the Sauzet Les Combettes 2016; i give that wine the slight egde but we had this for a wine tasting and half the crowd gave this the edge and other half the Sauzet. this had more pineapple and apple than lemon, def rounder and more generous on the fruit, but far from being a fruit bomb or over oaked, this has well balanced acidity. a really yummy wine pairing with no bad choices

Similar to my previous note, although I appreciated more lemon cream and less bitterness on the finish than prior. I did not sense the high acidity others have noted. Tasted side-by-side with DuMol 2019 Heintz Isobel, and this was slightly preferred due to its opulence.

Agree w MSUWine note below, spot on. It is delicious, but a bit over the top in its intensity. The ample acidity, at this point in its life, makes it quaffable, especially with roast chicken and veal. Tangerine, kumquat skin, and sweet lime are there, but the oak, fruit, and acidity are almost overbearing, so obvious, almost in separate lanes, not particularly well knit, delicious but not harmonious. A showy Cali chard, which will probably drink better in 2-3 years.

This nervy and fulsome Chardonnay offers plenty of lemon and brine at the moment, in a refreshing - if a little piercing - way. Light yellow in color; medium in body; aromas of grapefruit, salt water, and vanilla bean. Flavors of peach, cantaloupe, and almond, with a salty, punchy finish, even after a few hours of air. (And the finish is where DuMOL wines lose me: like someone who jacks up the treble on the equalizer (remember such things?), these wines have a dense acidity that pokes out on the finish. 14.3% alcohol. Drink in 2023 or later.

my second bottle. Lovely Chardonnay that bridges the California-Burgundy gap. Lots of acidity that accentuates the fruit, but - in my view - it could use another few years of bottle age (contrary to my note after my first bottle, I'm going to exercise patience)

Nose of ripe peach and pear with some minerality. Tastes of ripe and juicy fruit like tangerine, pear, melon, and yellow apple. Accents of candied orange peel and ginger. Viscous and rich in texture. Some slight bitterness on the finish. Delicious!

C: very clear, light straw S: pear, fruity, a hint of mint/eucalyptus T: medium body, dry, grassy, oak, bright acidity. Fruit in the midfinish, long finish R: Buy again

No formal notes…drinking very well but should improve with another 1-2 years in the bottle.
