This was pretty, quite sweet (perhaps thats due to the region as well), some ripe peach, medium finish. Nice wine, but I don't think this is worth 100 points.

I can see why JS gave this 100pts back in 2021. The wine is incredibly taut and precise with delicious ripe fruit wrapped tightly around a core of steel. The acidity is electrifying and it all comes together and just works. Drank this over three days and it was best on day three having opened out and settled down. At the moment, I think this wine is too young to get maximum enjoyment although there's no disputing the refreshment value. I'll leave my remining four bottles a few more years before broaching again. Tremendous stuff.
This was brought to dinner but a terrific Thai restaurant. The nose is screaming diesel but the palate only hints at it. Terrific mouth feel with the light sweetness and yellow fruited..

WOW! Utterly magnificent! Drinking now but will drink until well past my use by date. Will try to stretch this out so I get it all but don’t want to leave any behind.

Simply fabulous. Tried it next to 1964 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Grünlack Spätlese. 55 year difference, but you could tell they were from the same vineyard.

Decided to open one for science. Has that weight and aristocracy of the Rheingau whereas Mosel is more filigree. Really great balance and substance. Should age beautifully.

One of my favorite wines in 2021. Very fresh. This is sweet, floral, perfumed, and delicious. Totally chuggable but it is way too good for that.
Nose-sweet and slightly musky tropical fruit with pretty florality. Taste-the same sweet fruit from the nose makes it onto the palate but this has plenty of nuance. Never heavy, this has just the right balance with a very full mid-palate (which is a shared characteristic of the superb 2019 German riesling vintage).
This is a new producer for me and I tried the wine after it received a big score from Scott Pigott. Needless to say, I went back and purchased more after this introduction. This Rheingau will be very interesting to follow over time as it should have an upward trajectory

One of the best rieslings I’ve had. Tremendous with Thanksgiving dinner. Lovely aromas and great fruit flavors without being overwhelming. Off dry. Great to drink now and could probably be cellared another 3 years.
Bright yellow fruits, very vibrant, very floral, flamboyant styled. Very zesty, has quite a lot of weight but little flab. Smokey, creamy finish with a little bitterness. Very good, lighter but still Rheinhau style Spatlese.

Lovely nose; obviously primordial but good depth of melon, white peach, custard, hint of green apple skin. Fresh but viscous palate, though the finish isn’t impactful or long enough to obviously mark it out for greatness.

Expectations were high due to Stuart Pigott's perfect score and fortunately this iconic Riesling did not disappoint. While shy on the nose with floral, some yellow- and even slightly red-fruited aspects, the mouthfeel is really quite impeccable. Substantial extract for Spätlese, a great sense of underlying structure, lively acidity and very good persistence on the finish. Analytically lots of sugar, but effortlessly balanced by the wine's abundant material. A real powerhouse. While quaffable today it offers only a glimpse of its future complexity. Other wines present their mineral personality early on, this needs time to unfold.

This is the Bernkasteler and Prum of the Rheingau. Very fruity with a clean sweet finish. I had a fifty year old bottle of beerenauslace in Germany in 2019 and it was out of this world. This should be 100pts in five years. I’ll check on it in 2022-23. Color is pale now but give it time and it will be golden and more flavorful. Great for a summer afternoon BBQ on the patio.
Spring flowers and all the exotic fruit you can imagine in a cool and still tight wrapping. Acidity for the next century, but fruit can handle it even after one week after purchase! Medium finish. Extrovert nose jumping up with above fruits. Waiting game ....

Volatile rubber, tar, red apple, petrol, tropical fruits bursting with ripeness on the nose
Full bodied, medium-high sweetness, medium-high acidity, light effervescence dissipates rapidly.
