I bought this wine from my friend Jacek, who lived in France for many years. He returned to Poland and now he imports wines from France and will soon open a wine shop in my small town. I congratulate him on his courage and good luck! Because I don't even remember the last time I drank Malbec in the decision to apologize to it I opened this bottle. Wow, I couldn't believe I only paid $ 14 for such a good wine. I thought my friend made price mistake then I started to search Internet about this wine. The price is between $18 and $21, but Jacek gets most of his wines directly from producers, then it's even lower. But pay attention here now: I discovered, that Decanter gave it 97 points, 2018 was also listed on WE's Top 100 of 2021 and twice a former Wine Spectator Top 100. Unbelievable! This is my first 97 pts. wine! Well if all 97 pts. wines taste like this one, then they are very much overpriced 😉 Don't get me wrong. This wine is really special but does it deserve 97 points? I don't know, but never mind. The wine is elegant, sophisticated and classy. Lovely aromas of red cherry mixed with tabacco, olives( nice) and smoke. Flavors are delicate with perfect balance between them. Red cherry, cranberry, tabacco, olives ( nice). Perfect blend of tannins and acidity. Soft but long finish with the all components I mentioned above (!!!) Balance, balance, balance. And one more "technical" thing: according back label this wine is 90% of Malbec and 10% of Tannat

Yes, there's a lot there. But at this juncture, even after aerating and decanting, it's fragmented, one could argue even almost a mess. Somewhat better the second day, but love this is not. I'm waiting another two years to try another of the remaining 8 bottles and hope for the best.

Nose: Blackberries, blackberry shoots, faint smoke, overall pretty mild. Palate: Tart mixed berries, leaning toward blue fruit, touch of toasty oak, pretty straightforward wine with solid tannins and a good acid backbone. Quite nice.

Tasted after a 3 hour decant. Colour is almost dark ruby with a slight purple rim, owing to the youth of this wine. Slightly restrained, lovely aromas of sweet black fruit, earth & a hint of mint. On the palate, medium bodied savoury black fruit, cassis/blueberry dominant, earthy, well integrated oak, notes of herbal/tobacco/chocolate, medium to high acidity, medium to high soft tannins & a long finish to black pepper. I can understand the 97pt rating by Decanter Magazine, this wine is complex & interesting. Much more savoury than Argentinian Malbecs, & definitely a lesser fruit profile. It has the acidity/tannin backbone to cellar, & will be interesting to see where this goes.

Definitely agree with the comments that the finish is rustic and bitter, though I normally associate tannin with a fuzzy coating on the tongue, which is not pronounced at the start of a full glass, but increases as you near the bottom. Nose shows dark fruit and minerality. Taste begins balanced but gives way to the puckery finish.

2h air, based on other's tasting notes. Found it unapproachable on Day 1, with assertive rustic tannins overtaking everything else on the palate. By Day 2 it revealed its rustic qualities and was much more approachable, though the tannins are still pretty assertive.
Aromas of plum, blackberry, licorice, olive and dried leaves. Dark fruit on the palate with hints of pepper and a dry, dusty, rustic finish.
I definitely think this is one to hold for the future, but it may be worth the wait.

Pleasantly rustic, with notes of black currant, black pepper, and tar leading the way before dense tannins take over on the medium finish. Slowly opened up throughout the evening, but could use another year or two to really shine.

Ample et corsé.
Des fruits noirs et des épices.
Les tannins sont un peu assèchants
et la finale longue mais on sent une petite chauffe.
Bien.

Bold, dry, tannic wine that has years of quality drinking ahead. Much better second day. 92-94 range.

Sensational wine. Drinking well now and very approachable. Loads of flavour with a long lingering dry finish. Well worth searching this one out
