Enjoyable for 20 bucks but a little disappointing after many fantastic experiences with their entry level malbec, which is the same price and pretty vastly better in my opinion, with considerably more presence and interest. There's some good dark fruit here with vague spiced plum, very very faint tobacco nuance without being super green, but in general it's just very shy and muddled. I like that it's not overly heavy, and it still shows some good ripeness, but the tannins are also pretty coarse and dusty without food.

The black/blue fruits come together with the oak for a sweet, tantalizing nose. Unfortunately this falls apart a bit on the palate like muddled berry juice with a little bit of grindy tannins.
Still a fine drink at its price, but it felt like the wine making was aiming a bit higher than the product that was delivered. I enjoy other products in the Bodega Catena Zapata line, but this one fell a bit short.

Riktigt bra mysvin. Man får ta det försiktigt, det slinker ner lätt. Passade otippat nog alldeles perfekt ihop med konserverade kammusslor ?????. Missar precis fyran. Ett favvovin i soffan, köper gärna igen för 129kr!

An excellent value I think. It's an easy drinker that doesn't need food. We finished the whole bottle, but I am quite certain this will be even better day 2 or 3, since it is so young.

Not enough body structure, or complexity. Just so so.

Mörka bär, ganska kraftigt. Aningen spritig i första munnen, försvinner snabbt. Lakrits, björnbär. Lite kort eftersmak. Gott! Inte för fylligt.

Solid, good showing. I tried as an experiment compared to Catena Malbec, and Malbec is much better. No reason to switch away from the Malbec.

Nä, gillar inte denna gång. Smakar mest vanilj. Funkar fortfarande i soffan, men inget kul vin. Malbecen är överlägsen!

A decent wine. I enjoyed it a lot more on day 2, so I suggest leaving this in the cellar for a year or two.
