Great mature cabernet with cedar, eucalyptus and framboise on the nose. Palate is nice red fruit, graphite and flint with the tannins rounding nicely. Funny to never see these in the world but this is delicious juice.

This was an incredible wine. Stored in a temperature controlled cooler at 54 degrees for years. Decanted for 2 hours prior to pour. After a swirl or two, we had a remarkable wine. Full bodied, lots of cherry and blackberry fruit, but still retained a subtleness. Well worth the wait.

This was opened alongside the 01 & 05 and for my palate, despite the generally lesser regarded vintage, the 2000 was the best of the lot. Still tasting young, with a distinct olive note on the nose along with black currant and spice. The palate also has olive, licorice & herbs. Medium bodied with integrated but noticeable tannins, medium acidity and decent length on the finish. Well made & enjoyable.

Bloody spectacular. Incredible nose: after pouring my wife a glass and putting it on the kitchen counter, she remarked how the air had filled with the smell of fruity red wine. The taste is complex, full of character, with what I would consider as close to perfect tannin balance as I've tasted.

Two words: Drink Now. This Cab is in its sweet spot. Explosive nose, lots of dark fruit - plums and black cherries on the plate. Soft tannins, and a smooth finish that lingers.

tasted side-by-side w/ 2001. This was the 'girl' of the two ... elegant, softer and a surprise. 2000 was a challenging vintage, but this wine aged very well ... it's a thin cabernet but has a rewarding elegance

Lacking the density that led me to buy a few of these. Lean with a vintage green streak that permeates too much to be considered pleasant. Bitterly astringent tannic build isn't attractive. Not dump down the drain bad, but not really enjoyable either.

Opened to follow-up 2002 Rosemount Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond. Comparitively, it was not as good. More acidic, seemed not it balance. Not horrible, but not something to try again.

Vibrant ruby/purple. Moderate intensity, currants and cedar aromas with a touch of herbaceousness detracting. Better on the palate-- mouthwatering currant, herb and blackcherry flavors, a touch of toasty oak, decent balance and medium bodied, with some dusty tannins. A touch hot on the finish, with currant flavors, but it also becomes more herbaceous again on the finish, with medium/soft tannins. Decent intensity, a good enough drink, but barely worth the $15 I paid for it (and surely not $40 retail).

Likely just post peak, lots of earthy notes, tannins overpower what little fruit is left. Drink now.

Good but needs lots of air. Fruit with spice. Light bodied cab. Light tannins.

This was delicious. It is past it's prime, but at the price of $25, still a treat. It did get better after breathing for 5 hours.

Not bad, can't complain...what's the rest of the John Prine song? A bit flavor challenged but a decent drink at $20.

The third bottle of the evening and the lightest bodied cab we sampled last night. OK, but if you have them drink'em up IMO.
