Light to medium yellow color. Good fruit concentration, in fact, richer than your average Chablis. Minerally with balancing acid to balance the ripe ( for Chablis) fruit.could use an additional 2more years to fully mature.

2019 Louis Michel etc. (Chicago, IL): Hard to tell whether I liked this or the Forets alongside more; the Forets was more stereotypically Chablis with that mineral, seashell thing, but this was was more open and generous with the fruit. It's less structural and more straight-up open for business. Probably this one for drinking now; the Forets for aging.

Aromas of pineapple, guava and lemon zest, clean entry, lifted mouthfeel, swell balance, intense flavors of passion fruit, citrus and stone, crisp and delicious, serving a lemony chicken roast with this

Pineapple, citrus, white flowers, with a touch of lactic notes and sea breeze on the nose.
The fresh pineapple and citrus notes continue on the palate, followed by some stone fruit, and then the pineapple returns on the finish. The vibrant acidity builds nicely throughout and really lingers on the finish. Good intensity. The finish has some very brief notes of chalk and oyster shell that may emerge with some more bottle age.
Based on this bottle, I would strongly disagree about the lack of acidity discussed in prior notes, but will agree that I don’t get many chalky or mineral notes that I typically associate with Chablis. Think those will come, but the wine is quite delicious now.

A glass at Noble Rot wine bar in Wellington, NZ. I am enjoying some 2019 Chablis young … Fairly deep gold. A fruit forward bouquet of citrus, more yellow orchard fruit than green and some pineapple. Also florals and spices but not particularly chalky or mineral. On palate seeming quite rich and fully ripe but with sufficient acidity. Well balanced. Not huge Chablis typicity but good Chardonnay. For earlier drinking I’d suggest.

By the glass at Noble Rot in Wellington. Reticent aroma, lemony, saline, with hints of smoke and stone, clean, transparent, somewhat low on intensity, but refreshing and scratches the Chablis itch well enough and works well with food. Comes across as young.

Nice Chablis, well balanced, but could use a bit more energy IMO. Perhaps give this some more time.

Pineapple and citrus on the nose. Balanced flavor with mild acidity. Not too much mineralty and was a good wine with food. Delicate and medium bodied.
