  • Popped and poured. Medium garnet. On the nose, medium+ flavor intensity with typical Leroy red floral bouquet, stewed fruit, plum, gamey, herb, dried flowers. Within an hour the plum flavor became dominant, thought it was going to fold, but surprisingly it opened up afterwards and more cooked fruit flavors was coming forward, making it lively. Great refreshing acidity, silky smooth tannins whose purpose seemed to be planting the complex flavors on the tongue. Medium body. Mouth coating texture with 2 min+ length. Delicious! Currently at a great place and should be able to hold for another 5-10 years.

  • A VERY LIGHT WINE, WITH A CLASSIC AGED BURGUNDY BOUQUET. EARTH TONES, SMOKED STRAWBERRIES. THE CORK WAS COMPLETELY PENETRATED, A BIT OF A LET DOWN IF ONE IS EXPECTING SOMETHING "BIG" OUT OF THE DRC! JUST THE BEAUTIFUL LABEL MADE ME SHIVER, BUT IN THE END, I DON'T THINK I WOULD ORDER IT AGAIN.
