For me, this 2018 is past its prime and does not represent the style I like to drink my alsatian Pinot Gris. The acidity holds just barely, and the boytris-like overripe sweetness is taking too much hold. Acidity didn't last to second day. Drink this vintage away during 2024.

This wine was ordered by the glass in a restaurant where the bottle (with a cork enclosure) was freshly popped and poured in full view. Medium golden, limpid and immediately aromatic, it flaunts a bouquet of white peaches, bosq pears, rose petals, wildflower honey and coriander. Medium-bodied, medium in acidity and without any heat from its 13.5% alcohol, it is an off-dry white with flavors that mirror the nose. Solid in the middle, it moves on to a lengthy, albeit somewhat cloying finish. This is an enjoyable wine that sells at an attractive price, but it would have benefitted from a bit more balancing acidity. Drink now-2028.

Retail $22. Under cork. Of all the white varieties produced in Alsace, Pinot Gris perhaps has the greatest range as it can range from a mineral-driven tart marvel to a voluptuous, even unctuous, sweet beauty. This near golden wine lies, as one would imagine, somewhere in between. Wonderful ripe peach and pear dominate the nose with elements of honeysuckle and hyacinth. Stellar. The palate comes off initially as a bit sweet due to all the fruit and its Rubenesque body: full, round, decadent. There is also a healthy tartness that tries (somewhat in vain, honestly) to hold all that richness in check, followed by a lengthy finish. I love this wine, but I would have like to have seen a bit more control exerted by the acidity.
Fruity, almost a bit exotic pinot grigio with aromas of peach, pineapple and honey melon - also some flowery notes. Taste was surprisingly sweet and full but not at all in an unpleasant way - would go well with various foods or just by itself. Could do with a bit more acidity.

Appearance: Medium lemon. Nose: Medium intensity of apple, pineapple. Palate: Off dry. High acidity. Medium alcohol. Medium body. Medium intensity of tropical fruit. Short finish - taste is short, alcohol lingers. Conclusion: Acceptable quality.

Golden elixir color.
Punch you in the face ripeness of the bat. Honey, melon, clean spring feels.
On the plate a much more expressive Alsace wine than expected. Ripe fruits of pear, and home grown grapes.
Balanced. Beautiful. Lord of flavor.

Muted but sweet apple, lemon, fresh a piquant herb note
Off dry, flavors of gentle yellow apple with a touch of lemon verbena honey
Full body, smooth, feels like it could use a touch more acidity for balance, slight heat
