  • Had this for lunch with the CdV 17. Young pair but glad we got to taste them. The 19 Eche was unbelievably beautiful at this point just edging the 17 CdV for its wonderful deep velvety red fruit, seamless and polished, long finish and superb sucrosite. We all absolutely adored this. Should be an unbelievable wine with age.

  • We opened this wine because.....well, what hell!! A friend wanted to taste the 2019 Chambolle Feusselottes so I sacrificed that while he opened up an Echezeaux.

The wine was decanted 4 hours prior to enjoying. Oh and was it pure enjoyment!

This is such a powerful wine. The color gave me goosebumps. Completely translucent. Just barely garnet. I couldn't get over how light the wine appeared in color but the havoc is caused on the palate was just silly. I truly believe there sisters over at MG practice some type of sorcery.

On the palate, raspberries and cream, baby!!! We drank it slightly chilled to soften the tannin. Acid was on point!! We fired down some Peking duck between gulps of this wine and it was divine!! I wish I took more concise notes but the evening was simply to hedonistic.

Anyway, cherish any and all wine from MG. But we all ready know that!!!
