Better than the bottle I had 5 months ago. Opened two hours prior to dinner. The nose is all red fruit, the palate is dark cherry, red plums, a hint of rhubarb, pipe tobacco and spices. The finish was moderately long.

The final bottle of my '19s......probably shouldn't have held it this long. Seems a bit thinner, more restrained/austere. Good, but not what the younger bottles were......on to the '21s!
A very delicious example of a CA Pinot Noir, which being from Oregon, I am not usually fond of. Eric truly is a master wine maker. Drink one if you got it: so well balanced, fantastic fruit, right amount of tannin and acids.
Have been going through a lot of pinot in this price range lately... Archery Summit, Dom Maurice Ecard Savigny-Les-Beaune, Joseph Phelps... This was on the bigger more jammy side. Not nearly as uncouth as the Summit and more integrated. More expressive than the silky understated Phelps. Not quite the integration and finesse of the Ecard. Was my second fav of this group behind the Ecard. Still seems like it can settle in with a little more time and be less brawny and more smooth.

Had to open another bottle after we finished off the '18 Gap's so easily, with dinner. This mini vert was interesting. Better upfront nose on the '19, more ripe berries, but slightly less chalky minerality vs the '18, but the fruit is ripe and sweet and early on just a tad jammy.....in other words not quite as together or complete as the '18 was, but still quite good nonetheless. Scored only 1 point less than the '18.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Medium-bodied, well-balanced pinot with lots of cherry, similar to the 2018, but with a little more fruit.

Fruitier and jammier than my last bottle with plum and dark berries and a spicy finish.

A very lively pinot noir with bright red cherry and spicy underbrush. Young but drinking nicely already with plenty of upside.
