Medium ruby color fairly dark for a Pinot. Lots of fruit and oak on the nose. Taste of wild strawberry, spice, cranberry but a bit too much oak. 91 points.

As are most of the RM Pinots, this is a beautiful wine….perfectly balanced with extraordinary flavors. … with many good years ahead. To the reviewer who gave it a 90 score, I can only say that you must have been storing it improperly.
started out with a little head and ripe, but it mellowed out after a short time in the glass. Nice red fruit like sour cherry and and a touch of pomegranate, a touch of spice and baking powder. still closed at this stage. should improve in the next couple years. I do not see this being a long lived wine. So enjoy within the next five years.

Ruby red in colour, indeed darker than Burgundian Pinot. Restrained, cool season. Berry and cherry flavours, wood, herb hints. Concentrated, not too much juice, non-extendable finish. More patience?

Pnp, but let sit in glass for 10 minutes. On the the palate, pomegranate, some crushed red fruits with subtle earth and spice followed with a dare i say some pine needles and orange rind. Really nice mouthfeel, very subtle. Really elegant wine from RM that hits all the right notes, subtle fruit along with itinerary notes. Very much enjoyed that could go well with various fare served. Seemed to really get better with more time as last glass was the best. Wish i had some more of this offering.

Pale red with reflections of ruby. A subtle though detailed and appealing nose offers aromas of plump, fresh Bing cherries, dried black cherries, raspberry jam, orange zest, and spice. Medium bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity, gentle tannins, a tiny touch of alcoholic warmth, and lots of lightly cooked red fruit flavors. This is perhaps the easiest of the Rivers-Marie Pinots, crowd-pleasing and drinking well young.

Aerated with a Vinturi by the glass. Nose of black plum, black raspberry, loamy earth, Melba toast and spice. Black and red fruit, loamy earth and spice on the palate. Good persistence. Medium bodied. Served with a Scottish smoked salmon quiche.

This is really good for a few reasons. First, the earthy pomegranate is dominant here, providing a unique flavor profile. In contrast, no dark fruits here so think fresh crushed pomegranate, tangy plum and red cherry. Next, structure, both juicy and coiled, which gives the wine energy. Finally, the color, which is a mix of ruby and rose. Overall, this is a kick ass bottle of RM...reminds me of the structure of the 2017 RM Platt.

Have had two bottles, both same score and tasting notes. Too much oak, not enough structure, thin and untasty. Maybe bad luck with bottle variation or heat damage? Just not pleasing!
Medium ruby, nice red fruit on the nose with a hint of mushroom. Fairly silky on the palate and actually fairly approachable after PnP. Not necessarily “better” day 2, but definitely a step change

Great example of what makes Rivers Marie a leader in Pinot Noir. So much fruit and floral fragrance in perfect balance! It was a terrific bottle

Great bottle. Fresh, a cherry, mixed berry intro and warm acidic finish.
