  • Late night at home with neighbourhood friends. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of grassy green citrus lemon, toasty oak, butter cream, peach, almond nut. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fatty butter cream, integrated oak toast and spice, greenish citrus lemon, yellow peachy fruits, almond nut with a touch of pineapple. Long finish.
Good quality. Feels more Meursault than Puligny to me. Nice enough, but definitely not getting the painful crystalline acidity Jancis is talking about.
