2019 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge From 375mL 14% ABV
Paired with spicy Chinese stir fry, green vegetables.
Cork opened clean. Light ruby.
Nose - blueberry and huckleberry.
Taste - lovely blueberry at the front, medium acidity, developing with blueberry, light cherry, anise, light menthol. Rounded out by integrated oak, early cherries. Tastes fairly light bodied, even though it's 14%. Comes across as refreshing, crisp and easy to drink. Not super complex, but pulls you back for more & lingers on the tongue.
Delightful wine!
92/100

The last bottle I had was corked which was pretty disappointing, this one was not, showed wonderful crushing red fruit, liquorice and orange rind, medium bodied with a bright and chalky palate, slightly creamy mid-palate and a long fresh finish.

Six months after the prior: Again ruby with translucence at the edges. Beautifully savory, with good acidity. 14 percent stated ABV, but thankfully, not hot. Quite enjoyable over three nights.

Good "gastronomic wine". Light red in color, very mellow tannins, good bite/ refreshing acidity. Went very well with a meat stew. Ready now; do not think it will improve much with age.

Ruby color. Nose of violets, plum blossom, raspberry, iron filings, and traces of musky earth. Layers of pleasantly ripe red raspberry and dark plum fruit cut with blood orange, iodine, and bits of integrated oak. Bright acidity and integrated tannin. Longer finish of beautiful red berry fruit, iron, and sweet grip. Lovely with baked salmon. Half bottle consumed at Great Sand Dunes Lodge.

Light Ruby, with translucence at the edges. The note below describes it quite well. This is beautifully balanced and rather elegant. Very enjoyable over three nights.

[From half bottle] Slight barnyard, dirt/gravel, black brambly fruit, slight floral lift on nose. PnP a bit astringent and dusty, tart dark red fruits. Delineation of cranberry, raspberry, holly berries comes out after 30-45 minutes in the glass. Med- body and tannins, comes off fairly light. This gets pretty nice after some time and aeration, but could be cleaner on the palate. Not too shabby, decent value. 90-91 today, with ageing potential.

Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): The wine shows bright clear pale red color In the nose, the wine is very fragrant, extrovert, filled with fresh red cherries and berries, strawberries, its a bit warm (14%), needs time to settle down In the palate the wine shows very different character, a few tannins, very bitter right in the middle of the tongue, green stalky notes, the fruits sits in the back, medium body, medium acidity, medium finish. This is not just stalky bitter, but also a touch medicinal aws well. Very weird indeed, maybe its too young ? Hard to say, as its the 1st time trying this. The last glass, seemed to be opening up to meatier and more gamey notes

Not sure I want to write a review of this wine, I want it to stay a secret forever. At $50 this was rather special, with notes of dark cherries, liquorice, dark chocolate, medium bodied with a light elegant structure, yet yielded persistence and length.

Luscious red raspberry and Bing cherry fruit on the tongue, which matched grilled Coho salmon very well on our first night in Boston.

I had quite a bit of VA at the beginning, but when it calmed down this seemed like a decent pinot.
