👃Nose: Aromas of white flower, green apple, grapefruit, nuts, and toasted bread.
👅Palate: Fine bubble. Medium acidity; medium body; Good length and balance. Bright minerals with salt and stone. After one hour, it became more sweet. Drink now and it may gains complexity over the next 5 years.

Drunk for dinner with blue cheese biscuits. 12.5%. Pale bright gold. Very full mousse and fine bead. Notes of bruised apple, quince, white flowers and a little nutiness. Firm acidity. Fresh, balanced and drinking very nicely. It will be interesting to see whether it gains complexity over the next 5-10 years. No rush to drink.

October BYO; 10/28/2023-10/29/2023 (Anders): Smells round and harmonious with dairy, vanilla, yeast, and something sweet. The palate is mineral with salt and powdered stone. With air, the wine develops clear nutty tones and a finish characterized by grapefruit. High acidity.

Damn, I may have bought a less than optimal batcb of BdB 13. Had this back in 2021 and it was amazing, but with the subsequent 3 bottles has felt a bit off, lacking the crisp acidity and overall fruit. What a shame. A friend popped one of his bottles and it was stunning.

Color is a beautiful pale gold and there's a very fine but quite aggressive mousse.
Nose was quite deep yet light and fresh. Apple, pear, white flowers, citrus and a hint of brioche and nuts.
Palate followed in the same direction and it had a nice balanced maturity at this point, where some of the more aging notes had started to peak through but the freshness was still at the center of it all. Green & yellow apple, quince, citrus, white flowers and it has started to develop that lovely nuttiness with toast and brioche as well.
Still mainly acidity-focused but it has been balanced quite nicely with the dosage that is not overdone. The nuts, brioche and toast that have developed really add depth and complexity, and it makes this just perfectly drinkable now. Great QPR!

During a domaine visit. We liked this a lot. From the crisp 2013 vintage. Very well defined, fresh with minerals, white flowers, ice bonbon, citrus. One for the cellar that will challenge the Mesnil offerings that are 5x the price. Best after 2028. 94-95

Fantastic BdB. Needed a good 30-60 min of air to open up, but damn when it did! Searing acidity. Lots of nice notes of green apples, lemon zest, spices. Obviously too young but so good today already. 92 pts with lots of upside.

High acidity and minerality, very persistent mousse (even on day 3), very good qpr for a vintage champagne. I'll buy more

Rätt bjussig redan nu, men skulle må bra av minst tre år till på rygg.
