Inky purple. Meat, earth, dark fruit on nose and palate. Enough acidity but no tannin to speak of. Shortish finish. It isn't a world class wine but it's a good grocery store option if you're looking to avoid jammy fruit bombs. Violets started to arrive with some air.

Bright cherry, earthy and after swirling, mushroom on the nose. Unusually deep garnet hue. Black cherry and cola with a black pepper finish. Very fine minimal tannins, moderate acidity and medium length finish. Interesting but not outstanding. Will try pairing with seasoned rub salmon

Tight red berries and oak on the nose, gets much fruitier in the palate as it breathes but every now and then distinct cigar on the exhale, not my favorite malbec but it’s not off

Attractive notes of plum and vanilla. Medium to full bodied. Velvety mouthfeel. Pleasant med-long finish. Needs a bit of air. One of the better QPR I have recently encountered. Underrated on CellarTracker IMHO.

I’m not a big Argentinian Malbec drinker. I don’t go to a local wine store to seek out Malbec. When I was studying for the WSET level 3 exam, I needed to try an Argentinian Malbec as well as a high volume brand of which this covered. For $8.99, this was a wine I could see being crowd pleaser. It was fresh, fruity with a medium body, medium acidity, and nice smooth tannins that would please people who occasionally want a glass of wine. I would definitely pick up a few more bottles of this Malbec for everyday drinking.

Light purple color. Plummy and saucy on the nose with cherries and plum cake, violets, coffee and earth. Smooth and soft on the palate with medium acidity and juicy raspberry and strawberry fruit. Violets, tobacco, earth and cola add some complexity. Fun, forward stuff that shows solid value, for as long as I can remember.

Hmmmm, not too special. Dark and foreboding color. Nose is a bit licorice and too musty for my preference. Palate was a bit heavy and overpowering with earthy tones and sour currents.

I dunno. This is a solid, serviceable red wine. Echos of barrel, plum, and finely balanced acid. If I’m in a grocery store scanning the ‘selection’ for a last minute pick-up, I know Alamos wine (especially the melange) never fails. Saludé

Red cherry and plum feel overpowered by oak. No real harmony between acidity and tannins results in a somewhat disjointed finish. Not quite “2nd bottle” serviceable.

Always a good value. Med body. This vintage has a hint of coconut on the nose. Good fruit to pair with a variety of weekday dishes.

Nothing objectionable here; decent blue/black fruit on the palate, acid reasonably in balance, grippy finish. Easy drinker. Not bad at all for $10.

This wine is red and it has alcohol in it. Aside from that I guess I would drink it while smoking a cigar?
I would not buy again.
For a malbec, I find it lacks body. It lacks substance. It has a very cloying finish.
Try something else
