Medium ruby red with pink and orangey rim. Redcurrant, stewed strawberry, candied raspberry, violet, tobacco, spices, pepper, cedar, soil, game and leather. Well-balanced, complex, and elegant. Medium-high acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol. Good structure and long finish.
Wine had evolved since my last bottle. Tertiary aromas and notes started to emerge. Still plenty of cellaring potential ahead. Very enjoyable.

Ruby, with tenacious legs. Cherry and a bit of ammonia on the nose. Palate of tart pie cherry, licorice, and a hint of white cake, without anything cloying. Medium long finish running a shade hot, light tannins. Very good new world wine with an old world soul. The $65 I paid seems reasonably fair for the quality, neither a ripoff nor a steal. I agree with the TNs that suggest a few more years of bottle age, but to me it seems pretty drinkable today.

Bluish, pink rim with ruby red center. Raspberry, rhubarb, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and camp fire wood. Good grip, medium acidity and long finish. I prefer this vintage over 2017.

Appearance - Light garnet in color, clear at edge, reflective, good legs/body - 3/3 Aroma/Bouquet - Cherries, plum, light minerality, light heat/alcohol - 5/6 Taste - Cherry, plum, red raspberry, light tannins, light alcohol, some light mineral - 5/6 Aftertaste - Cherry/raspberry continues, tannins fade evenly - 3/3 Overall - Good complex wine with fruit and tannins/sugars blended nicely - 2/2 Note - This wine evaluation is based on the American Wine Society 20-point criteria, then interpolated into a 100-point score.

Rich smell of dark fruits, spice and earth. This is a deep dark red and just got better throighout the evening. There is a nice spice, with rich cherry at the end. A few motor years and the tannins should resolve more and make this even better, maybe 93 to 94 potential.

Winery visit. Aromas of red cherry, anise, fresh thyme & spices, minerals, hibiscus. Richly textured and elegant with succulent fruit, high-toned floral depth, with spices and mushroom-earth. Well-framed acid, fine tannins and good length.

Dark color, 14.1% abv, medium concentrated body but drinks big, young wine that needs some time, tannic with good fruit, low acidity, complex flavors, drank with loin lamb chops, cous cous and grilled eggplant and hummus, will drink again.

A rather robust PN for Dundee Hills but quite enjoyable with some air. It kind of reminded me of a single vineyard Kosta Browne PN from about 10 years ago (in an Oregon way)

Clearly a step up from the regular Dundee cuvee; more floral and more intensity on the nose, the fruit seems slightly fresher; the palate is bigger, but has excellent balance.

Decanted and tasted immediately. Gorgeous aroma of flowers and cherries laced with wet earth and dirt. Velvety smooth cherry and furiit with an acidic ending. I think a few more yeaes will help bring out even more velvlety tannins. Love it.

Initially the score was definitely in the low 80s, bordering a 78-79.
Opening and pouring a glass is just a boring, boozy waste of time. I followed a glass throughout my day- opened it for lunch at the office (I work at a very wine friendly office so it’s fine) and both me and a partner but opined that it was one dimensional and rather disappointing for around $80 a bottle.
I took the bottle home and had another glass and really felt the betrayal- it smelled overripe and had really sharp almost acetone notes. I was convinced it was flawed.
But (alas) I saved the bottle anyways and poured another glass the following day for dinner just to see what had happened and was I in for a treat: This hideous, atrocious wine had blossomed into a heavily perfumed, very slick and velvety stunning wine brimming with fresh pomegranates, plums and raspberries. The acid was great, tannins in harmony, everything was just clicking. I’m not a very avid believer that new world Pinot Noirs can age, but this one has something that nearly whispers “Wait 10 years to see what happens”.
I’ll be waiting those 10 years to see what happens next, or my kids.

There was still some oak oresent with fine tannins but the sugar and alcohol were intrusive.

Needs several hours to open up at this stage but once it does, it has an explosively perfumed nose and great palate.
