Very Good++. On PnP a bit muted, but this opened up beautifully. Melon, lime, taut underripe/barely ripe berries and pineapple, maybe some raw almond, medium bodied, medium acid / modestly quenching, a bit thinner and less minerality than I usually enjoy from Tablas, the finish comes in surprisingly long and pleasing.

Nice pale gold. Exotic and tropical aromas. Guava, pineapple, and some granite. Surprising dense, almost chewy texture. Bone dry. Seaweed and bitter herbs with dried apricot Very long finish.

Nice minerally nose. Consistent, refreshing tastes of apples, citrus and minerals. Well balanced blend. Nice mouthfeel. One of the best Grenache Blancs I've had from T.C.

More refined Grenache Blanc than previous vintages. The stoney and flinty parts are more muted and a floralness takes over. Its quite rich though I think drink soon, this summer is perfect.

Fresh and mouthwatering, delicious with appetizers, and even stood up to a spicy couscous. Versatile. Citrus zest, nectarines, minerality with invigorating citrus pith at the back end.

Quite an enjoyable wine. Nice, crisp with some minerality and some good acidity. Slightly floral with some apple notes. A bit more weighty than the sauv blancs we usually drink. Really nice with our lemon trout.

Solidly Very Good, enjoyed over two nights. Pure and clean and enjoyable on its own and with food (endive salad). This seems to lack the minerality and complexity I've encountered with other vintages. Still, quite good.

Drank over 4 days. This vintage didn’t jump out at me. I’ve had a contentious relationship with this varietal for several years. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I am disappointed. Just as I thought this would be a new go to white I again question it. This vintage seemed less unctuous, simple, thin. It had a brief respite when I drank it colder or with a spicy dish but other than that it was just okay.

Opened not decanted and served chilled. Tart lemon and Mandarin orange attack; light to medium weight in body; ends with a tart then sweet then sour finish with a ghost memory of a wet and diluted apple green syrup. Good +

Opened 12/30/21 and tried a glass while prepping dinner. I was not impressed, so recapped and back into the fridge to try tonight after a glass or two of great Champagne. Not sure if it needed a little more air, more attention on my part, or to follow a higher-acid wine like the Godme . . . but what a nice improvement!
Color/App: light, straw yellow core with good viscosity. Powerful and forward bouquet of grapefruit, lemon/lime and fresh cotton sheets. Full bodied for a Grenache Blanc but with acceptable acidity and a moderately long finish. Palate shows off pear, grapefruit (again), honeysuckle and some wet slate minerality. I was prepared to give a 'meh' to this a couple of nights ago but I'm so glad I waited. Deft winemaking here and well realized for a varietal I don't often give enough attention or respect.

From a sterilized 375 screwcap, refrigerated, with negligible air space of the 750 I opened 11/15/21. Much improved from the scant but month long exposure to O2. Even a bit of malolactic has occurred (so much for sterilization), adding a trace of sparkle to the enjoyment. What is really pleasing is the absence of a varnish aromatic I sometimes get from Rhone whites.

Always loaded with flavor and fun, the 2020 Grenache Blanc from Tablas displays a level of sophistication and refinement I've not encountered in previous vintages dating back to 2011. The front end remains extraverted and lively in a lemon citrus/pear/fennel/quince way. Mouthfeel is medium and quite textured. The back end is so civilized, and while a mineral quinine finishing note is still there its elocution is more Oxonian than Cockney. Terrific bottle, great with BBQ-ed salmon.

Golden color, very tart, good fruit but tartness never dissipated, drank with salmon with cous cous, not my cup of wine, next vintage.

Pleasing, tad restrained summer sipper--honeydew, floral nose, citrus/pear fruit, nice minerality.

Refreshing tastes of citrus fruits & minerals. Split the bottle into 5 pours. Pour 2 was significantly more minerally and less fruity than the others.
