This one definitely surprised me. I was worried it was too over the hill, but it was really delicious. Decanted it and tried it immediately and it was open for business. Really light with lots of red fruits initially. Red Fruits faded after an hour but the earthiness came out with some leather as well. Very well balanced.

Gorgeous and delicious. Initial pour yields merde, which almost immediately blows off. Opens into an intoxicating nose of dark, macerated cherries, just breaking down into syrup. Fairly high Brix and alcohol (14.6%), but just plain tasty. Very present and fruit-driven after 8 years. Creamy finish. Love it.

Not a lot on the nose. Deeper more full bodied Pinot. Nice fruity caramel mouth feel, but doesn't have that light elegant Oregon Pinot composure going for it. To use a beer reference, this is a session Pinot.

Delicious stuff; now clear to me the wine is entering some form of early maturity. And I might as well score it as it tastes right now! (See my Sept note for context)

This wine has evolved nicely into an easy to drink, medium-to-light bodied PN with aromas of strawberries and currents and a lovely, elegant balanced palate. Not a keeper but very enjoyable today. (In some sense the score will be too low because this just isn't a wine that can last long; drink it tonight and you'll be thinking 89 or 90 points)

Notes from day 2. Nice dark red/purple color. On the nose I get raspberries, both red and black, with a little forest floor, and a little acytone note on the tail. On the palate I get more mixed raspberry action, with a little cola, earth, and a white pepper & heat on the tail end. The finish is average and there is, as others have noted, mouthwatering aspect present. There is nice acidity here and it would go well with food. Little suprised this seems hot on day 2 as it was about the same amount yesterday. Overall a great entry level blend that gives you nice secondary flavors most don't and if memory serves me correctly this is much more balanced than some of the single vineyard 06's that are "bigger wines".

Holiday wine/food party (Home): A crowd pleaser as always. Not quite the finish I recall from last time but still a big fruity pinot that has some good secondary earthy and even spicy flavors going on.

This is my third time with this wine...and time is treating it better than I might have thought. Tasted from a 375ml bottle this wine shows cola, light hints of earth, and black fruits on the nose. In the mouth it is plush, and medium to full bodied as flavors of raspberry, cherry, and red fruits lead to slight heat in the mid palate. The heat is then reigned in by vibrant acidity and a mouth watering tartness on the medium length finish.

A bit rounder and less complex than I remembered from the winery. There is some nice cherry and raspberry in the mid-palate that transition effortlessly. With a bit of heat on the back end that seems to go away if the wine is chilled down by 5-10 degrees F.

this is a full bodies pinot, half way between a burgundy and a CA pinot- not too fruity, some "barnyard quality". at the Chaine event, an excellent match with short rib ravioli and herb crusted rack of lamb. too intense of pulled porl sdhank- the sauece very dweet

This bottle seems to have suffered some heat in shipping; it seemed cooked, disjointed. I hope this isn't a sign of variation in the batch: my other 4 bottles came from the same shipment... Not in a league with what we drank at the SOSP wine tasting.

We used this at the SOSP wine tasting event, side by side with a Penner-Ash PN. I was really impressed -- I love Sineann's single-vineyard 2006 offerings, but this blend is a very approachable, richly flavored wine with a highly aromatic nose, long finish and holds its alcohol well. A wine to serve in the near term -- and you can expect it to be a real crowd pleaser. In fact, I had ordered a bunch of Sineann's single-vineyard bottlings, but after the tasting, went back and ordered six of these too -- something to drink while letting the others come around (most of the others need 3 or 4 years to really achieve their potential).

Delicious, I didn't realize it was only the blend.

Decent fruit still, medium smoke, decent acid. Finish is medium to short.

Tasted a bit thick and hot and out of sync this time around. Starting to fall out of harmony.

This bottle was clearly slipping. Note to self: Drink this basic PN blend a a bit sooner... Or perhaps a slightly flawed bottle?

Really nice (relatively) inexpensive pinot. Cherry with a fairly strong streak of cola. Plenty of fruit, and slightly sweet. Very good.
