Tasted again at Fogo de Chao. Mint, crushed pepper, thyme/rosemary, sweet black fruit, crushed red berries, and a little bit of green bell pepper at times on the nose. Fresh, racy, and fruity notes of ripe blackberries and fresh red currants with spicy peppery notes on the palate. Medium finish. Slightly grippy tannins. Possibly THE best QPR red you can get for restaurant markups ($60 USD, discounted as part of their "Churrasco experience").

Delicioso. Reservar 2-3 años.

A very nice easy drinking wine. Dark fruit, oak, leather and a touch of pepper. Decanted and drank over a few hours (and saved one glass to the next day). Overall quite impressive.

Day 1: .Double decanted Day 2: Amazing wine, this is a classic chilean blend..... a truly chilean wine with the classic herbal and red pepper tones on the palate, and perfect acidity with a lingering finish. DRINK it on the second day. A master piece showing terroir fully. 20 months in oak barrels does not over take the wine allowing the fruit to showcase entirely.

Brought this wine to La Pizzaiola (Yio Chu Kang) for lunch with a University mate.
Wine was decanted for 1.5 hours before consumption. Earthy, woody, ash notes on the attack. Dark red purple on the palate with notes of ripe berries, cassis, licorice, graphite, dark chocolate, cherries and white pepper.
Sensation come in waves and well layered. Velvety and smooth.
Excellent value for money. Does not taste like a wine which is under $50.

Bought a full case on the strength of "pro reviews' and seems I'll regret it... Will revise after drinking another bottle, but at least based on first bottle I drank, it's definitely a miss. 'FELINEAVENGER's review to me is spot on: too much cherry (at nearly cough syrup amounts), too funky on the nose, no subtlety at all... had to wait for a looong time for it to air to be able to drink it.

A bit deep ruby-crimson color with a garnet rim. Floral, bright, and fruity on the nose. Notes of cherries, rosemary, white pepper, a little bit of gamey meat. Fresh, silky, rich, and spicy on the attack. Bright cherries, raspberries, and some cranberries laced with spices and mocha. Long mineral and floral cherry finish. Soft tannins, vibrant acidity. Interesting and well-balanced wine. Ordered by the bottle at Fogo de Chao.

Pretty good quality but not what I was hoping for. Rather tight at this stage with a lot of oak, burnt chocolate, and spice. Something astringent didn't agree with the meal of peppers and roasted pork. I appreciated the 2016 vintage more, which was accessible and had more discernible flavors.

Drank this bottle after 2 hours of decanting over a period of 2 hours. Drinks well now but I’d like to try it again in a few years. Tastes of ripe fruit, oak, a bit sweet, with green notes and overall smooth despite the tannins. Drank aside La Piu Belle from the same winery, and this wine drinks noticeably sweeter and more robust. Overall, this wine is smooth and balanced with great QPR.

Nice black Cherry tobacco and flint. Balance and depth ok but not near as profound as same winery Milahue albeit at thrice the price ish! Poured through aerator and let sit up to 3 hours and still a bit edgy so might benefit from a couple more years if you got room

I would highly recommend this Bordeaux-style blend. Rich currants, mocha, and spice work well together. The twenty months of time spend in French oak make it a fantastic wine to pair with red meat or strong cheese.
We paired this with a lasagna and the acidity didn’t bring out the best in this wine. I suggest staying away from acidic pairings.

This one should probably sit a few more years, but we wanted to try it now. Would benefit from long decant, which we didn't do. Opened up and smoothed out a bit of the rough edges as we drank.
Strong tannins, tart fruit, green pepper. It's a lovely wine now but suspect it will be even better in 3-5. Great QPR.

It's not often we get all four of my kids together, but when we do it's off for a big night out. This adventure took us to a Brazilian Steakhouse where the waiter completely butchered the opening, serving and cork removing of this spectacular wine. Without taking any notes I will say that for $45 you are getting a super smooth Bordeaux Blend from Chile that has very soft, integrated tannins, medium acidity, full body, a long finish and a melange of fruit, oak and tertiary aromas and flavors. A stunning wine that went beautifully with all the different cuts of beef, pork, lamb and sausage we gorged on. The structure of this wine makes it perfect for immediate pleasure, but I would not cellar it too long, say till 2025 for this vintage. A real surprise and a treat. 92 points and 5 stars.

So this was very good with a decant, the small addition of Carmenere adds upfront green notes, which complement the dark loamy soil and rich, juicy black fruits, thus adding complexity. After 30 minutes in the decanter, this was singing. Lots of ripe fruits, but the subtle underlying structure keeps this from being a complete “fruit bomb”. Most will enjoy the “Robert Parker” style, but it’s a bit too much for what I gravitate toward. Still in development, might have some upside potential.
I purchased two bottles of this through NakedWines at $32 USD per bottle as part of a mixed case for summer vacation. I have bottles at home purchased from the Lastbottle, which were procured at $25 USD back in early 2022… I know the NakedWines crowd is rabid about the “great pricing and quality” of their products, but a site to site comparison on the exact same “distribution” product is hard to ignore…just sayin…

Greatly enjoyed - though pretty astringent with green pepper and grass and alcohol in the nose up front, was clearly more complex and full of hope. After an hour decanting opened up beautifully and continued to level into better balance between smooth tannins, dark fruit, and minerality/ripe cherry and peppers throughout the night. Hard to save any for day 2, but by then had surprisingly over-mellowed and while still good, not as brilliant. Will definitely look for repeat purchase in the sub-$30-$40 range. Drinks like $60-$70 bottle.

Très végétal au nez, du cassis. Moyennement corsé, présence de tannins fins, c'est frais et assez souple dans l'ensemble. Herbes, épices, finale poivrée. Ne m'a pas semblé au niveau des critiques publiées sur cette page.

I'm in shock this wine was available for $25. This drinks like a high-end Catena. Trademark green pepper on the nose took me right to South America. But the mouthfeel is incredibly rounded, and the finish is a heavenly, full velvet with a weighted but ethereal conclusion. What a second wine. A case buy if I've ever seen one.

First impression upon opening and pouring a bit to taste without too much air -- excessive cherry flavors and a medicine-y quality to it, somewhat funky nose. Will let air for a while, hope this resolves and comes into balance a bit in an hour or so, but so far not up to the high expectations I had based on others' reviews.
Edit - after about an hour in the glass, the excessive cherry flavors were moderated and it was more drinkable. The note on the nose reminded me of the oily smell of new steel pipes from a hardware store. This lessened over time. By time I finished second glass (which had been poured and allowed to sit for 2+ hours) it was no longer noticeable.
Recommendation is a 3-4 hour decant at least. I'll finish the bottles I have but find it hard to strongly recommend this wine given what seems to be excessive TLC required to get it to the point of enjoyability.

Nez fruits rouges, violette. En bouche, puissant corsé, avec une bonne présence tanique mais aucunement agressif. Le tout est bien équilibré. Au fil du temps, les tanins s assouplissaent ce qui le rend encore plus agréable . Aimerait le revoir dans 4-5 ans.
