Especially excellent after a few hours open. If I get more I would wait a few years to open. Very smooth on pallet with just a whisper of iron on the finish that put me off at first then didn’t bother me. Not terribly complex but that is part of what makes a cdp a great dinner wine.

70% grenache, 15% syrah, 15% mourvedre. Bright, light ruby color, savory nose with a lot of stone and white pepper. That pepper comes through heavy on the palate, with strawberry and and olive-y character buried underneath. Nice complexity for a fairly inexpensive CdP!

30 minute decant. Dark semi-transparent ruby. Nose is thyme and a little alcohol. Palate is bitter cherry, herbs de Provence, a very faint sweetness, and a little heat on the end. Abv is really pushing it @ 15.5%. I’d say not of balance but the alcohol is notably present and a little much for my personal tastes. Fruit is fresh and nice despite the alcohol though. Not sure how it will age. Stylistically not my favorite but it is quite well made in my opinion.

Charbonnière's 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a deep ruby blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre. Decanted through a Vinturi aerator, it was serially tasted over a three-hour period. Intensely aromatic, it offers scents of black cherries, dark bramble fruits, Provençal herbs, baking spices and cocoa. Full-bodied, low-to-medium in acidity and with well-proportioned wood, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas and stays solid on the mid-palate. Despite being listed as 15.5%, the wine's alcohol stays in check at the appropriate serving temperature of 60-65°F. With silky-textured tannins and a lengthy finish, this is a young Châteauneuf that has no rough edges. If you choose to pop the cork now, give it at least an hour in decanter for maximal enjoyment. It should show well throughout the remainder of this decade. Drink now-2030.

This had some moments of greatness that I haven't had from a CDP in ages... some cherry and Black Forest Gateau. If the "moments" were longer, it would rate much higher. Once to try again.

Very nice after an hour decant. Cherry blossoms and unripe plum, a long finish.

Deep dark fruits....
This is a wonderful wine - but has a more rich quality than your typical CdP

Big thick chewy monster at 15.5% alcohol, oh so desirable but oh so undrinkable, glad I tasted it, sorry I had to pass.
