Scents of tangerine and marzipan, balanced, classy, sharp acidity, the palate shows lemon sorbet, green apple, marigold, and lime zest, holds a good amount of energy, long finish, gets better with air, will hold up well but drinking nicely now

This is a beautiful wine, more of an American style Chardonnay than French. I opened a bottle, poured a small glass and all I have to say, the finish was over one minute long..

Some struck match and pure white peach greet the nose. The palate is full and intense. There are sappy orchard fruits through the mid and loads of spice on the long finish. Really powerful and really classy.

Tight nose initially but opened with some air. Refined nose with well defined pear and peach. Expertly judged cream, biscuit and wet stone. Medium to full bodied will an incredible texture and lovely freshness. Fantastic wine but would hold for a few years.
WSET Notes:
Pale lemon.
Medium intensity on the nose with pear, peach, biscuit, cream, lemon, toast, wet stone, and vanilla. Youthful.
Pronounced and dry on the palate. Medium plus body, high alcohol, high acidity, long finish.
Too young.

After a recent 2009 I was on the hunt for a current release. These 19's are so primary right now I can image significant bottle age is needed if the desired outcome is like that of the 2009. I'm sure there is vintage variation but missing is the minerality & subdued fruit that blew me away.
Poured too cold to start with - a gentle lemon hue with a bouquet of cedar and oak whispers, elegantly underpinned by subtle strokes of spice and the sweet allure of peach and some citrus notes. On the palate, a velvety creaminess punctuated by an effervescent acidity and zestful lime and citrus interplay. Lingering, delicate finale. I know this is still very young, but really quite enjoyable as I often find with early drinking of Art Series chardonnay. Looking forward to sampling over the coming years.

Nice label. Bought a bottle to see what all the fuss is about.
Very pale lemon yellow. Quite a sour 'winey' nose. On the palate, cool and concentrated with crisp lemon fruit and some subtle oak in the background. Powerful and steely, it reminds me of the Jadot 2014 Corton-Charlemagne in its flinty purity. No doubting the quality here but at the end of the day, it's just not much fun and imo just tastes like any of the hundreds of other lean sour white wines out there. Maybe it's too young, but for me there just isn't enough meat on the bones or enjoyment here to justify the £78 price tag. On the night, everyone preferred the £15 2019 Pouilly-Fume served alongside. I'll tick it off my bucket list but for me it's certainly not a rebuy.
This was probably the very best new world white wine I've had. The community note sentiments are solid.
This is a burgundian chardonnay with an exotic flair, in the premier to grand cru range. Yellow green in glass. Taut, linear cool climate wine, with tropical notes of kiwi, mango, green apple, acid is shimmering and holds the wine together The finish is spectacular, minutes long, and very high complexity The french oak is present but well integrated in my view Needs a long decant if opening now, otherwise I'd give it 7-10 years in cellar. Bravo, will be keeping this producer and region in mind
This is the most Burgundian Chardonnays I've had from the New world. Very enjoyable, but there's a mild acridness on the back end that keeps me from thinking more highly of it.
Another excellent wine from LE with notes of crisp apple, citrus, green herbs, and minerals. Excellent balance and mouthfeel with satisfying finish. Paired with grilled halibut with lemon caper butter sauce.

Cary's Night of the Aussie's! (Cary's Castle): Fantastic chardonnay, wonderful purity of fruit, more on the tropical end with some vanilla. I haven't had one of these before but I will seek this out in the futre. Wel made complete chardonnay that kept the oak tastful.

Tasting of Leeuwin Estate Art Series, hosted by The Wine Society, UK. Medium gold colour. The nose is prominent, luscious, tropical, peaches, oranges and nectarines. The palate is rich, well balanced, with a hint of oak giving good structure. It's very gluggable and appears to be at the peak of the drinking window.

Absolutely not ready, but wanted to try one of my bottles. First taste was tight, tight, tight! Left it in the fridge overnight and tried the next evening. Definitely better, but still not in a place for regular consumption. Lots of structure that still needs to resolve. A tropical nose with some soft vanilla caressing it. Full bodied, lots of mineral , melon, papaya, and floral character. Unresolved oak, but not overbearingly so. Electric, vibrant acidity! A long, tasty finish. This is a delicious wine, and I can’t wait to dive in a few years down the road. I’d give it a 91 right now, but potential is there for later, so putting up a 94.

Bought this wine in HK. Original Box of 12. Causal afternoon drink with Chinese deep fried snack. Nice and with hint of burgundy nose. Crisp and not over fruity. Good balance refreshing chardonnay. Cost around 90 AUD ... it's an absolute bargain. Don't think I can keep those remaining 11 bottles beyond this coming summer.

Had to try this prized Chardonnay from Leeuwin Estate in Margaret River. Young of course, but super elegant, incredibly well balanced. But realize that it is very closed and that it will take a few years before it opens up. Will wait at least 3 years before trying the next bottle.

Australian white wine from Margaret River: Chardonnay. 13,5 % alcohol. Aged for eleven months in new French oak barrels.
Pale silver color.
Powerful and delicate aromas of sweet oak, exotic fruit, white flowers, lemon and minerals. Fresh and powerful flavors of exotic fruit, lemon, oak, white flowers and minerals.
Dry. Medium body. Medium+ acidity. Excellent balance. Excellent structure. Very good complexity. Powerful. Intense. Outstanding concentration.
Long finish with sweet oak and lemon.
An excellent Chardonnay that needs a few hours of air before it starts to deliver. Performs best when it warms up a bit from fridge temperature. Stylistically it’s very similar to Vasse Felix Heytesbury, with intensity and concentration as hallmarks. 95/100

Fresh green and red apple, herbs of estragon, salty and cold pebbles minerality. The crisp acidity provides for an electric and vibrant sensation. The palate was round, but I did miss a bit of creaminess to the texture. An excellent young and fresh chard that served blind was easily mistaken for a Burg 1er Cru - but wasn‘t quite able to produce the opulence of the greats.

Halfway between a burgundy and a California — exotic perfume nose of burgundy but weightier palate and body and finish of California. Good acid, not flabby, white fruits, light oak.

Seriously good. Very youthful and tight, but serious potential. I would wait a few more years before opening another.
Medium lemon colour.
Pronounced aromas of fresh bread, apple tart, lime juice, white peach, yellow apple, tangerine peel, jasmine, struck flint, crushed gravel.
Pronounced palate.
Full body, high acidity, long finish.
