Bright golden yellow. Smokey vanilla and smooth stone fruit. Oakey up front. Wet stones/ salinity on the back end. but very smooth. Long finish already but still young 14.5% abv. Very good now but will get better as Oak becomes less dominant.
Fan of this cuvee for the balance of richness and minerality. Early check in on the 2020. Delicious and full of energy, but showing a touch leaner than usual from memory, and despite the vintage. Everything there, and should be stellar with some age to soften the edges and open up further

Neighbourhood friends late night at home. Tasted blind. Aired in bottle for 4 hours already. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs. Nose medium+ intensity, reductive flintiness on each fresh pour, with other aromas of nutty integrating oak, citrus lemon, ripe peaches, mineral background. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of hazelnut, almond, integrating oak toast, spice, ripe peaches, citrus lemon. Lovely long finish. Now this was really good. At this point in time, considered on the leaner side of things in the context of what Henri Boillot whites used to be like. Maybe will put on some weight with a little more age. But really delicious already now.

Superbe!

This was a very good wine, very fine and noble. Still I was a bit disappointed given the ratings here. It lacked a bit the wow factor for me and I found it a bit too "lean", lacking a bit tension. But maybe just a bad day or the food was overpowering the wine. Will try more in the future.

So many good notes on this, so just a quick message for myself. This had impressive depth and good freshness in spite of the high alcohol, hiding its power. The finish was long and unfolded impressively, but the nose still needs some time to show more delineation.

A Wow wine, Lt . yellow in colour, good acidity, intensity of citrus flavours, 14,5% alcohol not evident. Drinking well now . No idea as how the higher alcohol will effect it's ageability over time.

Svær konsentrasjon - pondus for penga. 93p

At French Laundry. Big whiffs of smoke on the nose. Very delineated with low acidity, mellow tree fruits, complexity develops with air time. A really nice complement to the butter-heavy tasting menu. Ideally this should be left alone for another 3-5 years to put on some more weight.

Opened bottle 1 hour in advance in wine cellar. Spectacular wine with massive fruit and no hard edges. Shocked it is drinking so well at age 3! Everyone's wWOTN in a very impressive lineup.

Blind night. Right out the gate, amazing depth with ever so slightly reductive nose, but more so citrus peels and apple blossoms. Pronounced palette, slightly buttered roasted apples, salinity, lemon oil and peel, lean pear and slight citrus pithyness. Insane potential, this is precise and really delicious. I liked it a lot today, it will get better but I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with opening it today. 95++
True to form, this Mouchere follows suit with its past siblings in a broad and shouldery display of lemon and yellow and white stone fruit flavors unabashedly pouring on to the palate. Notable focus here, with the youthful heat in better check in 2020 than previous vintages. With a couple hours of air, clementine, kiwi, flint, acacia flowers, white travertine, and lemon curd notes emerge in flowing and controlled fashion. The finish is more about power and push than gradual length, but yellow fruit and chalk notes carry on through an extended back end that envelops throughout and maintains enough poise to stay sophisticated.
A wine to hold for a couple of years, where it will likely merit an even higher score and could be the most put-together Mouchere we’ve seen yet. Grand Cru quality here (I always hate saying that because it implies the tariff should be even more than its continuing inflated price - though it’s hard to argue its relative station in the world of top shelf 1er and even some Grand Crus, as its “worth” is surely compelling).
Right from the first sniff you knew this was special. Nose of white flowers, lemon, gun flint. The palate is very delineated, precise, fresh. Long, complex finish. Grand Cru quality.
Gul farge. Kraftig, lett sødmefylt duft, noe tre. Fin syre, konsentrert, relativt slank, god intensitet, sitter lenge.

Typical Boillot. Great extraction of flavours, good length, good acidity, well balanced. Great freshness. Approachable early but will gain complexity with aging. This scores close to his Montrachet but lacks the softness and length when young but comes close with some aging. Excellent wine!

Incredible how this masterpiece has blossomed in bottle over a year?? The best ever, much deeper than 2017, 16, 14 and 09. At the level of the best Montrachet!!!!

You can tell immediately that this site got a lot of sunlight, as the citrus fruit is ripe and full. Bright acidity balances out the abundant fruit. They picked correctly on the earlier side. No sign of high alcohol. Saline and tannic finish. Impressive. A wine to buy.
PNP. Immediate blast of flint and smoky reduction. This blows off to reveal a nose of stone fruits, pear and citrus. Deep concentrated palate citrus infused crisp and linear texture. Somewhat ripe but finishes with a blast of acid.

Full throttle. Def decant if possible. Big brown sugar, orchard fruit aromatics. Big big volume. Big character. Somehow balanced by mondo acidity. Once this mellows out should be great.
White fruits and citrus. Bright acidity. A note of charred oak. Delicious to drink even though this is very disjointed at the moment. Give it 6-8 years to integrate. 96+ potential

Textbook. Singing remarkably well at such a young age. Very present "reductive" notes - if you dig it (like me), in a very good way.
