This is disappointing. I love crisp minerality, and the acid to stand up to and enhance many foods. But this was, IMO, pretty simple, and green/sour with little depth and complexity. Just not doing a lot for me.
Green fruits, maybe some apple, a touch of citrus.
I cannot say how it will evolve over years.
I can say that i have several Rieslings from Alsace, Germany, and New York that give much more complexity for the same or less money.
I mean, is it "good"? I guess. Would i recommend it? Not really.
Maybe leave in the cellar and see what happens with the remaining bottles

Petrol, citrus peel on the nose. Citrus, peach, green apple on the palate with a little salinity. Dry, high acid, light body, medium finish with citrus and saline.

Pale yellow. Fresh pear on the nose which comes through on the palate as well. Very tart lime with a long very citrusy finish with some petrol with warming most noticeable also with the finish

A very pale gold yellow color in the center dissipating into more of a green, yellow at the rim. On the nose it is not especially noticeable other than typical grassy green pea. On the pallet it is not acidic with a clean and elegant finish somewhat minerally but incredibly short. With a refreshing grassy early pallet this is a nice drink but lacks in complexity and longevity that some might desire.

Classic lemony lemon Riesling aromas, paired with beautiful and intense acidity. The minerality seemed to be slatey, alongside a honeyed character that plays well with the lemon, and pronounced jasmine note (gotta love the white flowers that Alsace brings to Riesling). Absolute killer with smoked herring.

Smells of petrol, lemon, and apple along with fine minerality. On the palate, it is richer than something from Germany, albeit it feels slightly watered down for a riesling.

Good example of the variety/AOC. Very captivating nose with somewhat lackluster palate. Slight petrol note that quickly fades, could use more time in the cellar to reach its peak. All the usual notes of apple, peach, wet stone, etc. still has very lively acidity. 88/100

13% alcohol; imported by Taub Family Selections, Boca Raton, Florida; tasted at just below room temperature, about 18 degrees C, at Pacific’s Edge, Hyatt Highlands Inn, Big Sur Carmel, California; commands respect for Rieslings from this long contested ground between France and Germany; screw top, long legs, 10K gold; screw top aroma of metal and ripe apples; nose of alcohol, spices, minerals, a little sewing machine oil; full bodied, attention-getting tannins hit the center of the tongue, on a bed of minerals, sidelights of Cattleya orchids, lemons, oranges, Granny Smith apples, sweetness subdued but intimately integrated into the whole; medium-long dry, dry finish; pair with grilled fish, prepared with smoldering pecan wood and suitable marinade

My first Alsace Riesling for a long time. This is extemely crisp, dry and a bit granite infused and lacks body. 12.5%. Lay down 2-5 years for the acidity to settle down.

Petrol on the nose and palate dominated the apple and pear otherwise present. After about 30 minutes of bottle-breathing (as I tasted a few pours) the minerality increased and the petrol diminished, though was still too much for me to fully enjoy the wine.
Ensure it stays chilled while you drink it to prevent the less desirable notes from overwhelming.

On nose: lime peel, minerals and rosemary. On palate: all above flavour notes, harnessed to bracing acidity, with green apple, celery and a steely backbone on a medium body, as it warms after a two hour decant, notes of heather honey ever so slightly soften the wine. However, not as complex or open as previous vintages reviewed since the 2015 ....only 3 years old, may improve with some bottle age. Good shellfish wine tonight.

Traditional Trimbach Riesling …. Very pleasant. Aromas of lemon and vanilla. Light bodied mouthfeel with flavors of fresh apples and lemons. Dry, slightly acidic finish.

Presis, diskret typeriktig Alsace-riesling med frisk riesling-palett med topplokk av stedsriktig steinmineralitet. God sammensatt og balansert også i munnen. Gammel solid traver dette her

Tasted from half bottle. Rather pale yellow. Very dry with a dominant citrus acidity of lemon. Balanced by green apples and pinepple notes. Minerality but less specific notes discernable.
Not super complex but v balanced and together. Very drinkable and paired wonderfully with an Indian curry.

Pale lemon in color, almost see-through.
Strong nose with limes and diesel notes.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Very dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing lemons, green apples, spices, herbs and diesel.
Limes on the tangy finish.
Easy drinking and better with food.
13% alcohol by volume.
