We opened this bottle because it was 3 years past the CT recommended drinking window. We thought it was great and still well within it's drinking range. It even opened up quickly. No need to leave it open for an hour or for a decanter or anything like that yet. If you have 1 that has been stored properly, feel free hold on to it for a few more years.

Green pepper on the nose with a bit of cocoa. Slightly tannic in the mouth. Light to medium body. A touch of vanilla. Quite austere. Prefered the 2005.

Nice ruby red. The nose shows nice berry aromas, some cherries, a hint of licorice, but also some herbal notes. The wine is medium bodied, with little tannins but seems slightly astringent. Maybe the grapes used were not fully ripe. The palate shows cherry notes, good acidity, clean style but there is not much complexity to it. A good but basic Bordeaux for a reasonable price. I liked the 2004 and especially 2005 version better. Drink now.

Guter Alltagsbordeaux. Am Ende der Trinkreife bzw. schon leicht darüber. Wenig Frucht und auch keine ausgeprägten Sekundäraromen. Austrinken.

A little weak. Tannins on the lips, just not that good. Maybe it needs some age, but I wouldn't buy it again.
