Hot bottle, alcohol never blew off, even after several days. Not up to Sojourn’s standards. Something was off with this bottle. We’ve bought several cases from the winery of various vineyards including this one, this was just a bad bottle.

My wife thought this wasn't yet ready to drink and I thought it was fine for drinking now, which may be another way of saying that I liked the wine more than she did. My experience is that Sojourn makes nicely balanced wines that are very easy to drink young. I don't know (and, at this rate, I may never know) how well they age, but the older I get, the more I appreciate wines that are appealing right out of the starting gate.

3 Days in Sonoma; 2/21/2022-2/23/2022 (Sonoma County, California): Sojourn is one of the few Sonoma producers to have bottled a range of 2020 reds. Obviously, there is a long-term risk of smoke taint, but we didn't detect anything in this tasting. This wine was surprisingly easy to drink, with no sweetness, and structured cherry fruit.

Smooth, nice acidity with tart but pleasant fruit. Delicious.

Decanted 30 minutes. Very similar to the 2019. Well balanced with lots of red cherry and some strawberry. Moderate tannin and acidity. Long finish.
