similar to my last note: dark red - exuberant fruit nose as before - more reserved in the mouth than a earlier bottles, but full bodied with excellent balance and a long 15-20 sec finish - a very good example of a mature Toro that shows all of the power of Toro wines but with added finesse and complexity that comes with age - IMO, most drink these wines too young

dark red - exuberant fruit nose as before - a little more reserved in the mouth than an earlier bottle, but full bodied with a very long finish - a great example of a mature Toro that showed all of the power of these wines but with added finesse and complexity appropriate for its age - great accompaniment to lamb/harissa sliders

dark deep red - no sign of age - explosive nose of bright red fruit - blackberries, casis and ripe plumbs - rich full fruit mouth - great acid-fruit balance with moderately soft tannins - very very long finish - for a 16-yearold wine this is incredibly fruit driven and rich - not very much complexity, but this wine has another 10-20 years of aging to go - one of the most impressive Toros I've had to date

Outstanding bottle of wine from the region of Toro; 100% Tinto de toro or tempranillo grapes. For those that enjoy these grapes this is a winner; medium to full bodied, dark ruby red; beautiful aromas of dark berries, oak and earth; complex and stimulating palate with a respectable finish. Wish I had more bottles!

I pulled this out in the middle of the week to enjoy another value offering from Chili. I was stunned when upon opening this I found this wine to be a $46 bottle. While it was very good, it certainly didn't rock my world like a Tinto de Pesquera has in the past. It was deep red and smooth and rich but was not one of those that spoke upper tier excellence in any form or fashion. It was a nice bottle that I am glad I enjoed in ignornce of its price tag, since I probably would have been greatly disappointed had I know the price while ingesting it.

Spanish at De Tapas: Very bretty nose - Rhonish, roasted dirt with some cinnamon and/or pinon spice and pepper. Medium-full bodied, a bit masculine and different. Decent.
