The last of my bottles..... sniff, sniff. Marshmallow nose with a hint of lemon; layered mineral tinged flavors of the sea and meyer lemons; great vibrant acidic attack along with a complimentary oily body. Fabulous!
Though its Thanksgiving, I wish my wonderful friend could have conjured up some more frog legs (04/30/12). That was an magnificent pairing.

Medium golden color, almost iridescent. Lemon rind, lemon oil, salty air, and cream on the nose. Unctuous body with lemon, grapefruit flavors and a tangy note that reaches a crescendo right after the mid-palate. Paired well with baked clams and salmon but this really deserves its own stage.

Served with seared Halibut in spring veg and clams. Wine had nose of pineapple and lemon. Smooth, round in mouth. Full bodied but not buttery. No discernable minerality. Very balanced, almost muted. Does chard enter a dumb phase?

Fête des Grands Vins de Bourgogne 2008 (in progress) (Palais des Congres de Beaune): Less butter and more fruit on the nose than the two other Corton Charlemagnes tasted. Also a bit tighter on the nose. Nice. On the palate it is a bit like the Chapuis. Not as structured and rich as the Bonneau du Martray, but the finish is very long and spicy, and with lots of acidity. Very fine wine.

Post Musique et Vin Festival Concert Dinners; 6/24/2015-6/28/2015 (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Slightly past its peak. Others poured from different bottles felt the same.

Paired with frog legs and remoulade sauce. Yes, it worked very well.
Good again. Intense, concentrated, reduced. Lemon oil and seaside air with a big body.
