A deep, robust, and complex wine. Glad I didn’t open it any earlier. Maybe hold a bit longer if you can, but it’s lovely now with a good few hours decant.

Interesting wine, dark color, lots of tannin, good fruit with complex flavors, full bodied, but the wine doesn’t drink easily, it gets a bit tiring, drank with chicken couscous, 14.0%abv, on to the next vintage.

Tannat yields a sturdy and robust red wine that pairs beautifully with meat and fatty dishes. On opening this bottle was not very subtle with hidden facets or dimensions but it was flavorful, bright, and to be honest it overpowered even the lean BBQ ribs we had.
24 hours of air made a difference and moderated the wine in an appealing way. The tannins softened, the earthy, smokey suggestiveness of the day before diminished and gave way to black cherry fruit, dried roses, and subtler notes of bay/rosemary/juniper. Will give the next bottle another 18 months or so. 88-91

Young, but approachable now, even with a pop-and-pour. Well-proportioned, and not slathered in oak. Juicy acidity. 14.0% alc. is kept in check. Drink now and over the next 10 to 15 years. Excellent.

A little too tightlybwound right now even with decanting and needs 3-5 years I would think. Difficult to say how good it will end up being but has probably 3 or 4 points of upside potential. Still unsure given the price, but if you have cellar space go ahead and stash a bottle or two.
Tight with blunt tannins that soften slightly with air. A powerful black fruit core and high toned licorice, anise, juniper berry nose and palate follow. Cocoa on the back of the soundstage but still palpable here as well. Enjoyable now but really not doing it justice to have this now.

Deep, delicious, needs hearty meat to pair with the tannins...so smooth
