We were very satisfied with this Red Mountain Blend. $30 for us, and tasty enough to drive plans to return to Hedges for more. This blend is 55% Cab, 26% Merlot, 9% Syrah, 6% Cab Franc, 3% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot. This is a bigger meritage/blend in the mouth than the price might indicate. Nice body that wasn’t too tannic given it’s youth.

This is actually more of what I expect from them - more mocha and black fruit on the nose. And the palate follows suit - bigger, bolder, more round but still with good tension. Good stuff.

Toasty, exotic wood, clay, cocoa, cookie dough, and currant nose. Medium-full, textural palate with great flavours, complexity and balance; long, currant and toast finish. 5/5

Only in color with stark tannins. Very slow to open with restrained fruit. Not a lot of depth or complexity but perhaps attributable to its youth

Good fruit forward but will get better with a year or three of rest to let the fruit settle and the wine to be more balanced. Good steak wine though

Gott på egen hand och till mat, hade önskats lite mer djup och nivåer. Kanske kommer över tid.

With a little bit of brighter cherry fruit to it. And still big in the mid palate.
