Decanted. Clear deep garnet color. Outstanding bouquet of red currants and cherries, cigar humidor, dried porcini mushrooms, pencil shavings, old leather, red stones and earth. Similar on the palate, assertive but light on its feet, seamless, smooth and mellow, beautiful balance, silk-satin mouthfeel, lingering finish.

Allowed to breathe in bottle 2 hours, then decanted 45 minutes and served. Clear deep dark garnet color. Classic bouquet of dark cherries, boysenberries, currants and their liqueurs, anise, fennel, mocha, forest floor. Similar on the palate, full body, excellent balance, seamless, lingering finish.

Allowed to breathe in glass 30 minutes before tasting. Clear deep dark garnet color. Classic bouquet of mixed dark fruit: blackberries, cherries, currants, along with fennel, anise, vanilla, hints of nutmeg and clove. There is also a most welcome sense of terroir or minerality: stony soil, sandstone, dry forest floor, something along those lines. On the palate, this is full bodied, balanced, seamless, elegant, fresh and pure, with mouthwatering acidity and lingering finish.

Good color and body, especially for a 19 year old California Cab which has been moved across the country twice. It mixes well with some sharp parmigon cheese.

Popped and poured. With the fill into the neck and the cork in good shape it was a positive sign of things to come. Ready to go right from the onset. Nicely aged, with well integrated tannins and fine balance of fruit. Although not an overpowering wine it more than held its own with NY strips. My first Diamond Creek so no real reference to other vineyards or vintages. Quite enjoyable but not something I would seek out.

Pop and pour. Drinking beautifully right now. Classic cab that could be confused for aged Bordeaux. Light in color and only 12.5% alc yet still packs a punch. Mostly resolved tannins and a nice smooth finish. Great wine

nose - absolutely gorgeous, perfumed, of cloves (per brian), coconut and walnut (per cindy), toasted coconut, almost has a pina colada essence! mouth - cornucopia of fruit, sangria, licorice, old school cab, wine without makeup, great balance, fabulous, delicate

Popped and poured. Well integrated vintage cab. Although retains a nice earthy nose and some bright fruit. Better after a short decant.
