Opened older than expected with perfect cork. Rusty brown, past bricking. Like an old Barolo that held on. Next day had more body and balance. I'd decant for a while.

Very straightforward, balanced Barolo with excellent varietal characteristics. Full red fruit, rose petals, slightly leathery lingering tannins. Held up to grilled steaks, but starting to thin just slightly. Drink now.

beefy notes dominate the nose as dark red fruits and licorice emerge with time. a blast of tannin that, I suspect, will not go away over time hides the cherry liquor flavors on the finish. not especially complex, but good solid, traditionally made barolo that was a fine partner to the lamb ragu and pasta.

Complex, but a bit overripe and disjointed

Very pruney, all around. Never did emerge from that profile. Fruit seemed relatively youthful, albeit....pruney. Would not purchase again.....
