A perfectly fine champagne with nice mousse. But just didn't do it for me. Short finish. Nothing that stood out. Didn't pair that well with the fried rice or pad thai. Kind of a dud at this price point. Maybe with a lot of bottle age it'll show better.

Consistent with my last note, this bottle showed a lot more age than earlier bottles. Yeasty, with a suggestion of sweetness. Good, but not as strong as the earlier bottles, for my palate.

Pretty chardonnay fruit, some subtle autolytic notes, white flowers, and chalk on the nose. Chalky and mouthwatering on the palate with good tension, refreshing acidity, and a chalky, toothsome feel. Drinks like Chablis with bubbles. Well done low dosage adds to the whole. Very well done and a reasonable value.

Some Great Whites at Octo Fish Bar (Octo Fish Bar, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. Drank this next to the NV Bereche Reserve. This was even a bit more oxidative in style, more golden and citrus fruits, a bit creamy on the mousse, nut skins.

Nose: The nose is lifted and aromatic with white fruits, pears, apples, almonds, minerals, and white florals. This has good depth with there also being a pristine quality to everything.
Taste: Medium bodied with high acidity. The acidity is racy with the feel having a lighter touch along with white fruits, pears, apples, biscuits, minerals, and some almonds.
Overall: This is a fragrant and focused Blanc de Blancs. It is light on its feet with a raciness across the nose and palate.

A very nice GC Blanc de Blancs sparkler at an attractive price point sub $45. Nice nose of lemon oil and apple with some toasted biscuit. Non angular on the palate with some perceived richness; reinforcing the lemon and bruised apple notes. Pretty nice offering from this producer !

Awesome. Ripe lemon, saline and wisps of tropical fruit. Beautiful palate presence and incredibly long finish. A big step up from their entry level bottle.

This is a delicate and feminine Champagne, very fresh, with a lemon taste.... pure happyness The bottle is Brut, but the dosage is only 5 g/l, and I really like that

Clear straw. Notes of pear, yeast, bread dough, some dry earth. The palate is dry with flavors of lemon peel, yeast, earth, and tart pear. A nice rich BdB with a medium length finish.

Italian wines (mostly) in Sonoma (Della Santina's Tratorria): This was flown across country than taken on a 10 minute walk to dinner. On opening, there is a lot of baked bread bread notes on the nose. This is very round with decent acidity but certainly not bracing. As it got air, it was kept in an ice bucket for most of the night, it developed some citrus notes as well. Not earth shattering or stunning but certainly a very good, bordering on outstanding Champagne. A nice way to start the evening.

Blasted good, and gone too soon. A tragedy, as this was one of the best Blanc de Blancs I've had in a long time. Easy-going and profound, simultaneously. Brilliant. )

Exudes elegance. Classic low-dosage Blanc de Blancs. Nose of lemon cream, orange flower, green apple, minerals, and just a hint of yeast and distant ocean air. Light-medium bodied, it dances on the palate with outstanding clarity of flavor and a clean, citrusy, minerally finish with a slightly saline quality. Delicious.

This was good but not as good as the other cuvee (Les clea). Passable and pleasant.

Showing more age than prior bottles. No detailed notes, but definitely more of a yeast/bread/almonds profile.

Crispy toasty, tart – went great with Indian food. A good example of why we should all be drinking more bubbly.
