First go with this Oregon producer just released at the retail monopoly - sappy-styled, earthy & really classic, easy-going Willamette PN. Surprisingly darkish ruby, translucent. Nose brings a mixed basket of red & dark fruit - primarily raspberry delight, cherry mix, vanilla, earth, smoke & fire, a chunk of iron & barrel spice. Palate is straighforward, medium-bodied w decent enough acidity, a tad flat, a Summer charmer consumed in February, earthy w velvety & rich tannic structure, orange zesty, brief finish.

Value $22 Oregon Pinot Noir Ken wright 2021 Willamette Valley. Mid ruby; smokey, red fruit, cherries, wet wood, aldehyde nose; mid acids; light-mid body (13.0 alc.); balanced; long red fruit and wood finish. 15.5-16 UC Davis scale, 89-90 other scales.

My first time having this. Pretty deep ruby color with a touch of purple. Takes a moment to open up in the glass and showing beautiful notes of red berries, also some darker berries and some exotic fruit, cedar wood, some flowery notes (rose petal, violet pastille), with some more air also some earthy notes. It‘s very balanced, medium+ bodied, with good persistence, has medium acidity and barely any recognizable tannin. Medium length. A very delicious, straight-forward Willamette Valley Pinot Noir that won‘t make old bones, but it‘s delicious and has a realistic price tag.

Ripe plums. I would not pay $27 however.

Nice drinking and probably great for a wide range of drinkers. A bit flat and short finish. Enjoyable at the right price.

A well made everyday drinker. Nice fruit and a great acid balance.

I found it well made but uninteresting with very light and subtle flavors.

Lovely wine with jammy red fruit layered with earthy notes of cedar. This pinot was a full-bodied pinot.

Nice entry level Oregon Pinot But not nearly as elegant as KW's single vineyard offerings.
