Very pleasant floral wine - that did well paired with a steak dinner. Maybe a tad bit sweeter than a typical wine, but very drinkable and enjoyable. It may do better in a few years, but it's a great table wine right now.

Ordered a glass at a restaurant. 94% Merlot, 5% Petite Sirah and 1% Malbec. Crimson color. Not overly tannic with deep red fruit, wet earth and licorice notes. Medium to full bodied. 90 points.

A classic Merlot IMO, the King of all grapes is on full display here. No harsh edges front to back. 2nd btl and it’s consistent. Drink now thru 2028…with decant. Rebuy

Pretty much in line with what's noted here. Very smooth, good concentration, nothing much to say against it other than it could have used some Cabernet Sauvignon to muscle it up a notch. With gridle NY strips (cooking time 5 minutes - yummy). $30.59 at King Soopers with the 6 bottle 10 percent discount. Not sure I'll get again.

Nose: Oak, cherry, dark fruit. Hint of cacao powder and coconut shavings.
Palate: Red fruit, touch of saline, touch of soy. Lots of wood spice. Some coconut, cacao, and vanilla. Rustic tannins, pleasant acidity. Little bit of red meat and prunes.
Finish: Medium length, lots of cherry and cacao powder.

Cultured and lifted aromas of black cherries, plums, and eucalyptus waft from the glass. Juicy, pliant, and Old World, the palate displays a beautifully reserved array of depth, complexity, and textures. Nice.

First time trying a Merlot from Stags'. I prefer their Cab, but this held up decently. Probably a little young. Let this decant for around 90 minutes.
On the nose, intense aromas of dark fruit, black cherry and some oak. Initial notes of plum, ripe strawberry and oak. This opened up with some vanilla and pepper. Decent finish of oak, vanilla and chocolate.
Med bodied, fairly dry, smooth and well balanced. This was enjoyable but not overly complex. A well crafted Merlot at a reasonable price point.

Extremely disappointed. For a $40 wine I expected more. Very dry, high tannins, low flavor. No need for me to buy again.

I agree with SRABKIN90, only I'll go a point higher. Decent QPR for a Napa Merlot at $32 at Costco.

As usual, a dependable crowd pleaser that I don't mind drinking myself.
