Pleasant gold color. Sweet pear, grapefruit buttery nose. On the palate, it's missing acidity. There is no life. It is syrupy but not really sweet. This goes down like sweet water with a hint of wine flavor. I won't buy this again.

Repeat purchase (new vintage) @ Costco 14.0% abv - $13 composition not provided, but predominately Voignier.
Served @ 10c/50f with Fried Chicken Tenders.
Clear pale yellow in glass. Flowery aroma of orange blossoms. Stone fruit and apple on the palate with minerality and a bare hint of citrus. Fruity, and refreshing. Nice mouth feel, derived from Marsanne/Roussanne that is (presumably) in the blend. Just enough acidity for tartness. Pleasantly Tart, Minerally Finish. This is a good example of a White Côtes du Rhône Blend! Spouse Endorsed; flavors are enhanced as the wine warms in the glass.

Opened not decanted and served chilled. Probably served too cold; spice attack on the entry and palate; somewhat heavy in bodyweight that’s thick and unctuous; strong lemon / lime notes with ginger; ends with a mouth filling finish with an undertone of heat. Fair to Good. Impulse buy at Costco sub ~$20

This 2021 Côte Du Rhone Blanc is fruity wine with plenty of richness and body. A well-rounded wine with elegance, strength and balance and just a nice pop and pour summer wine…

Opened yesterday. I rate this a bit higher than some others. Seems harmonious and balanced, with decent fruit flavors, including some hints of honeysuckle. Excellent for the money. 4-11-16-8: 89/100.

Nice for the price, as always; and as always, expertly made. Still, a little bit of a clunker, even though I like fuller whites. This is personal preference and nothing more; in fact personal preference TODAY, which is ever changeable.

Another great vintage for this Guigal bottling that is my de-facto house white. My notes on previous vintages go into more detail but it's another ripe, sumptuous but balanced wine that delivers serious pleasure for the money. Stylistically heady in a way that won't please everyone, it's remarkably consistent. Purchase by the case. Drinking beautifully now but will hold for another 1-2 years comfortably.

By the glass over lunch at restaurant Oumi, Singapore (my first time at Oumi, and based on first impression the restaurant is overrated and overpriced). Medium lemon colour. Floral notes and orchard fruit, with medium-level acidity and average length. Medium to full body, oily texture. Quite soft, and easy. Did not pair well with sushi, and mostly not with other food, at least at this point.

Again weaker than the previous vintages. This time this blanc felt too high in alcohol at the first sip, flavors were somewhat disjointed, hardly showing Viognier characters. Fortunately it got a little better the next day.

Easy drinking, banana, mango, pineapple on the nose, stacks of tropical fruit on the palate after it's been open a short while and warmed up in the glass. However the lack of acid (dominated by viognier) is just not for us. Too soft and the alcohol lingers. If you like the style, good QPR

Compared to other vintages, this 2021 vintage is appears much leaner with citrus and a tiny bit of honey. The taste is fresh yet big and with a oily viscosity… not bad

I am also sceptical regards this vintage. Didnt feel as strong as the '20, for instance. 87/88.

Lovely white. Nice body. Good acid and balanced. Better as it warms some. Pairs well with seafood or light pasta.

Colour: medium(-) gold
Nose: pronounced intensity, secondary, youthful. Apricot, white flowers (elderflower, honeysuckle, night jasmine), overripe peach. Lemon. Honey. Wet stones. Mint leaf. Sweet spice, cream.
Palate: dry, low acidity, high alcohol (14%), full bodied. Medium(+) intensity, medium(+) length finish. Apricot, white flowers (elderflower, honeysuckle, night jasmine), overripe peach. Lemon. Honey. Wet stones, steely, smoky: somewhat structured and fresh behind the rich, broad, fat, rich character. Mint leaf. Sweet spice, cream. Textured.
Conclusions: very good (especially given the price). Can drink now, but maybe suited to short-term ageing. Dangerously drinkable.
Seal: natural cork
