Bursting full of ripe yellow fruits, yellow apple, banana, lemon curd, very saline, and lots of reduction from entry to finish. A lot of oomph here. With that said, this maintained its balance really well and didn’t come across as overtly warm or hot, got nice acidity to hold everything together. Certainly one of the more delicious New Worlds I’ve had of late

A good wine. First time with this bottling. It's a fun, slightly puckering event that holds promise for those with patience. This could be 90 in the future.
Agree with Oldwines comment below - this should be left in cellar for now, check back no sooner than 2026. Unless - you have the food to match..
Opens with movie theater popcorn, spice muffin, key lime, and dough. mouth follows with a bit more
Acid is strong. reduction strong. alchool 13%, but I feel a touch more.
Mid palate weak. finish and mid-field + complexity are lacking.
Oregon Trip-Day 1 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Some toast and pineapple. Medium weight, some sheen and the sense of oak. Ripe, good soil, some citrus. Not too large scale or overdone. This reminds me of Meursault.

Fresh white flowers and fruit upon open, little to no reduction, just lush melon and prosciutto. There was an odd moment where the wine was overwhelmingly salty, but it blew off. Wonderful weight and texture, but feels accessible now so no need to hold.

Veldig usikker på denne. Totalt nedstengt og åpner seg ikke verken i karaffel eller noen dager i kjøleskap. Subtil «flott eiket chardonnay» men mistenker snikkork. Flott konsentrasjon

I actually prefer this to the SV chards at this stage. They are fresh with significantly less reduction. Lemon, melon, vanilla and mineral. Nice density and mouthfeel. Not the most complex but checks the boxes.

Excellent Oregon Chardonnay. This could be mistaken for a quality white burgundy with tropical fruit; light oak, and vanilla. Minerality does show slightly on the palate and the finish is medium to long. Good stuff! 92 points.

This shows off excellent balance and freshness right away with limes, pears, green apples, crushed rocks, white flowers, a touch of smokey reduction, jasmine, and a bit of vanilla beans. The medium bodied feel is balanced and refreshing with crisp, medium+ acidity and excellent length. The Cuvee Anne always is a banger for less than $40 and this is no different. It is the perfect introduction into Walter Scott and May we’ll be my favorite bottling.

Agree that you don’t want to drink this too cold or it shuts down. Otherwise it’s terrific. Love the little butterscotch/cream element but then a lot of salted lemon and lime with ripping acidity. Can’t wait to try more here (and makes me want to give the pinots another shot too).

Tasted at a retailer-sponsored tasting in NYC. Quite reduced as is the style of this producer. Pretty lean (bottle just opened and a bit too cold by my reckoning) herbal, floral, lemon curd and lime notes on the nose and palate. Better on the finish. Needs aeration and cellaring to be at its best. But, It seems like all the elements are there for an excellent wine in 5 years or more. This will not show well PnP in the near term, so don't even try!
Nose: light matchstick, apple pie crust, light lemon meringue, light oyster shell freshly harvested from the sea, mineral
Palate: granny smith apple skin, granny smith apple, oyster shell; medium+ finish of flint, lemon; dry; medium- body with pretty silky mouthfeel; medium+ (almost high-) acidity; maybe very slight chalky phenolics
Overall thoughts: Lean, elegant and nicely balance. Favors minerality over fruit. Not a ton of complexity at this young age, but very enjoyable. Very good wine.

40% new oak 12 months, then some stainless. Medium plus nose shows immediate Montrachet like nose of cream cheese, green apple, yellow flowers, mushroom. Palate a little more crisp than expected, more Chablis like, though a ripe one, lovely structure, underripe and Old World in style. Great expression for Oregon.

My first time trying this wine, and only the 2nd '21 Chardonnay I've had from Walter Scott, with Le Combe Verte being that other wine.
Oh, this is nice. Lightly reductive on the nose (for me, that manifests itself here as a little petrol), with tart white fruit and prominent acidity on the palate. This feels like it will age effortlessly.

Very pale yellow gold. Lemon, hazelnut, oak, crème brulee, gun powder and white flowers. Elegant and complex. Very well-made entry-level cuvee.
