Unfortunately this Cru Artisan winery outside of Macau has stopped selling its wine as the owner died. This is a real shame as the wine was really tasty. Typically understated Haut-Medoc with lovely modern aromas of plums, cream, chocolate and cassis. Its medium bodied elegant and neat palate has got density and power on the attack and on the plumpish satiny and deliniated oaky fruity mid section and ends short to medium long.

Highlight of the night. There are so many subtle nuances to this wine. The hint of barnyard funk is integrated perfectly with red ripe fruits and wild flowers. I can nose this one all night. Flavor profile is right on balanced, soft, and a long finish. Wish i had more.

Wow, wow, wow, this has come along nicely since my previous bottle last year. After a short 1 hour decant the funky barnyard nose of previous bottles has mellowed a bit but is still there. Classy Bordeaux earthy nose, abundant dark fruit with perfect balance. It will be hard to stay away from the remaining bottles. Just how great will the 05's be?

Delicious. Classic Bordeaux notes of earth and funk, with full-bodied fruit and just enough tannin backbone. Drinking well now but will be fine for at least 2 more years.

Similar notes as before but did not get a chance for a decant so it went through the vinturi before pouring. This time the nose had a big barnyard funk to it which I love. This will be nice to enjoy in the coming years.

We had our 1st 2 bottles with friends at a fine Franco-Italian dining establishment in South Jersey. For comparison I decanted one bottle before leaving and opened the second there. I knew from the dark ripe fruit coming from the decanter while pouring that was going to be good. This is one of those wines you can nose all day! Dark fruit, floral and nutty with a hint of tobacco. Light tannins are still present, good acidity, went extremely well with food. It was apparent this was meant to be consumed with food. If you appreciate wine the way the winemaker intended it to be, you will realy enjoy this one.

Great Merlot Blend from the left bank. Beautiful balance of dark fruit and cherries. Nice finish, very pleasant to drink. (need two hours to decant) Not a wine to pop the cork and start drinking. But for the price, it is aoth a little wait...

Left bank Merlot blend. Nice fruitiness with dark cherry and cassis. Soft, almost understated, fragrance. Short finish. Pleasant and comfortable, but not transcendent experience. Fairly good value.
