Wine Workshop: Barolo (Five Way Cellars, Paddington): First real oak; caramel; sweet spice, plums, liquorice. Medium plus intensity acidity, rich black plums, plentiful grippy woody coarse tannins, bit of a beast. I find, after all the other wines, that the oak is a little intrusive. Hmm. Not for me.
