I thought this was a fabulous rendition of Marechale. 21s in general seem charming, red fruited, texturally fine grained, with bright acidity and open for business. This wine is no exception, and the note of white pepper is really prominent on the finish. In a lovely spot and I’m going to try and source a few of these.

Strong effort. Balanced and nuanced, with a red fruit core with hints of white pepper on the palate. Has a fine tannic spine with just the hint of herbaceousness. Lovely with food.

Hold for a few years. PnP which was mad but what the heck: Showed much better with air obviously but don't listen to the others here, it definitly needs some time.

Well balanced, the oak treatment is not too much even this early on a thin vintage. Red fruit, spice, very fresh and long. I don’t see much structure and tannins here even if it is NSG. I would probably drink my other 2 before their tenth anniversary.

Wine 4: Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Nuits St George 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale 2021.
Paired with duck rillette and raspberry reduction.
I really don't have enough experience with Burgundy yet but I know a good wine when I taste it. This is obviously too young but it already has so much to offer! Light ruby color. Nose of cherries, raspberries and strawberries, some forest floor and leather. All of it follows into the palate where the oak is also present. This was great, a very pure expression of Pinot Noir, vibrant red fruits, earthy notes all tightly packed with grippy tannins and a long finish.

Intense nose of red fruit and floral notes, a little smoke and toasted spices. Really elegant on the palate with a long finish. Great value and drinking exceptionally well at this early stage.

Burgund '21 + moden vin (Centropa, Oslo, Norway): Mørk. dyp farge.

Fruity and balanced. Ripe red fruit, cherry, black cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Earty notes of wet soil and leather with nice oak and vanilla. Ripe sweet fruit and medium acidaty, could maybe use som more acidaty, but this is awsome just to drink by its self or with food. Super!

2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Barrel Tasting - Expressive nose displaying decadent black and red fruit, blackberry concentrated, strawberry, a hint of licorice, lavender, cappuccino, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of expressive sweet black and red fruit, rich and round yet beautifully balanced and harmonious, good acidity, earthy mineral, and a long ripe black and red fruit driven finish with lavender and earth at the end. This is a very showy yet beautifully balance Maréchale. Perhaps the best Maréchale of my life.

Vibrant raspberry with a touch of earth/mineral.
Medium acid and medium minus tannin. Elegant fruit-driven finish that mirrors the nose.
The red fruit is beautiful, but looking for more at $180/bottle. This should improve with age, so there's that.

Bright, vibrant ruby purple
Darker fruited, young.
Seems a bit clumsy at the moment, but quite tasty.
