Did not decant. Clear with nice purple/red color. Nose was cab typical. Wine is well balanced, on the light side with not too much oak or tannin. Easy drinking, mellow, nothing exceptional, nothing off. Soft and clean, would appeal in a cocktail setting. Tastes like it should and drinking well now. Good value.

Took a look at the drinking window, and thought I'd better pay attention to this one. Seriously good. Glad I gave it the extra time on the shelf. Opened about 30 minutes before tasting. Extremely smooth & supple, with really good mouth-feel. Rich notes of dark cherry and blackberry, with a long finish. Nice touch of oak. Enjoyable bottle.

A bit soft for a Cab but good structure with no flaws. Ideally a bit more oak would have helped this pair better with the filet mignon but it still worked.

"The joy of blowing a bubble, but then disapointment when they pop." The wine opens with a burst of berry fruits with a hint of acidity. The flavors get muddled in the finish and the enjoyment fades a little quickly. An enjoyable wine.

For the price, this was shockingly good. Opened for taco night so low expectations but very smooth and easy to drink, good balance of oak, fruit and earth.

Brooding nose of wet earth and dark berry notes. Palate starts with bright cherry and transistions to wood pretty quick. Later hints of licorice. Opened and tasted and the finish had a bite. Very good but nothing special.

This wine is one of the few I have had where it actually does taste like the description on the label! Blackberry and dark cherry, roasted vanilla and asian spice. Excellent now and I think it will hold for a while. Now on my QPR list. Will get more.

new label from LM and a nice effort I might add, first off a good value and overall versatile wine that could match a variety of meat dishes or be consumed without food, for the edges are soft and acidity is relatively low, there is some nice plum and pepper with a subtle finish of soil that holds shortly but nicely

Blended to be appealing to the mid priced cabernet drinker. Lots of fruit and not much in the way of distinct flavors. Burger and meatloaf kind of wine.

Too much fake wood for my taste. Taste like a shiraz soaked with wook chips. Susan like it a little more. It was a gift. We wouldn't purchase on our own.

okay, I'm impressed. I didn't have high expectations, just wanted a glass of cab. This was a gift, so I corked it. Very mature, excellent balance of spice and fruit. Low tanin. I will buy again

2005 Cal Cab Tasting (12 wines) (Famous Liquors): 2nd time I have had this. Much less impressive this time around. 61% Napa and 39% Sonoma fruit. Somewhat bitter red fruit. Medium bodied with a short finish. 84 points.

Hmmm...glad this was the 2nd bottle of the night and not the first. On the nose, it's characteristic of cali cabs in this price range...a certain level of extraction...oak...overly ripe fruit. On the palate, this is like similar to an aussie fruit-bomb, but worse. Did not care for this wine at all.

Gallo Tasting: Blackberry fruit. Fairly soft, with medium lushness. This is well made, and the price is right. And if you can get it for $15 it'll suit it's purpose. A great example of a good generic cab. 86-87

Aromas of spicy oak, dark cherries, black pepper and a hint of ripe strawberries. On the palate, the fruit is overpowered by oak. Too bad because it seems like good fruit, but the oak is causing it to be off balance. Interesting to see what this wine does in a couple of years.

I really liked this cab. Fruity and bold with nice tannins to balance the acidity. Others at dinner party liked as well. Compared with the 2003 Louis M. Martini 100% Sonoma County cabernet, this one won out hands-down. Glad I have another bottle in the cellar!

The nose had me excited. It's complex with raisins and vanilla and some other stuff that I couldn't put my finger on. Then it's all downhill. Flavor was just unappealing. Didn't get better with time in the decanter. Drinkable, but not good and I highly recommend NOT buying this.

Dense purple in color with strong aromas of menthol, fresh cherry candy and currant. Full body with silky tannins. Mellow and fruit forward with flavors of currant, darkfuits, and chocolate. The finish is long and fruity. It's a great value at this price point and drinking now.

Typical berries noted on the nose. A hint of PVC pipe as well. Lighter and softer tannins than what I look to cab for, but very drinkable
