This is not my style of wine - not horribly made, however. If you dig, there are some redeeming earthy notes. It mostly tastes like watered down raspberry jelly.

Second bottle not as inspiring Overly extracted. Nor bad but was way better with food. It's funny how a wine can be stand alone or much better with food. Thus is the case. Decent wine for the price for sure. Was pretty drunk I think for last notes. Drink cellar cool, and give time for aeration.

Curious in light of the 95 rating from WA. Dark ruby fruit - blackberry, currants, and dark cherry. As expected, fruit forward and fairly rich. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration for the price point. Nice rich flavors of cassis, cocoa/chocolate, and some spice. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter over a couple hours. Improved a little with time. I’ll refrain from rating it because it’s just not my style but if you enjoy cabs from Daou and Austin Hope I believe you’ll likely enjoy this wine as well. 84% cab sauvignon, 6% malbec, 5% merlot, and 5% petite sirah.

If you blend the reviews of Desmarteau and Genghis88, I think you get a fairly accurate portrayal of the wine. Is it profound? No. But is it solid, somewhat interesting, eminently drinkable cab at an amazing price? Absolutely. I think its score here suffers from the high expectations generated by a professional review/score and also being compared to wines that usually sell for twice as much. I am not sad I bought a case.

Purplish, inky hue Loads of rich, dark fruit off the nose. Jammy. Bold. Thick, unctuous, full throttle dark fruit driven wine, but balanced. An amazing wine for the price. Case worthy. Drink now or hold. Perfect wine for serving at big events.

Couldn’t agree more with desmarteau’s comment about the RP rating…especially when compared other Paso cabs like Daou Reserve, My Favorite Neighbor & Austin Hope. Gained a bit if complexity after 2 hours, so we’ll pump and save some for mañana to see what’s what. For now, this is the “burger wine” category in our household.
Cheers!

OK...this is overrated by RP's Erin Brooks by a wide margin...integrated cinnamon sugar and deep blueberries. very one dimensional and cant see it becoming more complex with age.

Jammy, fruit forward Cab that has milk chocolate, mocha and cassis notes and is sweet on the finish. One dimensional wine but it’s certainly a crowd pleaser with it easy to drink style. Just pop and pour and you are ready to go.

Aromas of blackberry, currant, mint, chocolate and lead pencil. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, currant, melted chocolate and hint of plum. Ends with a long finish of 25+ second with blackberry and black cherry notes. It drinks more like something out of Sonoma but has a lot of fruit and structure to it. Easy drinking and worth seeking out.

Lush black fruit with a hint of smoke. Had to the Vietnamese dish bún riêu which was a surprisingly good match.
Great QPR as well.

Good. But not amazing. High expectations given it got a 95 rating by the grocery store. Maybe better when aged
