Ruby, nose of red berries. PnP, dry with strong tannins and acid, needs some air to open up, fruit below the surface. Blackberry, Loganberry, Marionberry, dry tannins on the finish. As before, lovely with sharp cheddar & crackers. Second night, bacon fat on the nose, slightly tart marionberry, lovely fruit, acid, tannin balance, up 2+ pts.

Medium ruby, lovely oaky, salal nose. Dry with drying tannins, medium body, blackberry, cassis with enough acid for a good food wine, sopresseto and sharp cheese. Two night later, very smooth with just the right amount of fruit and acid balance, tannins for a nice finish. Up a point.

Very good bouquet and color, lovely strong fruit, good body with nice balance of fruit and acid/tannins. A very pleasant soft wine with food or by itself. Developed dry fruity port flavor on third day.
